Booked this restaurant after reading reviews . It was everything we hoped for , food ,wine, atmosphere all amazing and the staff and the owner were friendly , helpful and made us feel very welcome We enjoyed it so much we returned the following night !

We had a great time at Spirito DiVino. Food was delicious and wines were excellent. The owner of the place went out of his way to make sure the guests were happy and enjoying themselves. He gave great recommendations for wines and food. We will be back when we come back to Rome!

It was a special night for us, celebrating my 64th birthday in the great city of Rome. I found this gem on TripAdvisor and read the reviews about the very old wine cellar and great food. Took a chance, since the reviews also said it was hard to find. The taxi did a great job finding the location and we sat down at the table greeted by the owner. I didn't see any "special" wine on the menu, so I asked him if he had other wines to choose. He told me to go downstairs into the cellar and pick one our for myself! Never done this before, so I liked the challenge. Found a good Chianti Classico at a reasonable price and enjoyed the evening from there on. Enjoyed the Julies Caesar dish and beef stew. What a night to remember on my 64th birthday!

One of the best meals we’ve had in Trastevere. The food was original and so good. Everything fresh and local. Perfectly sized portions. The cantina below is worth a look. The chef gives excellent advice about what to order….we will return!

I really wanted to like this place however, we were seated right next to the stairs leading to the famous cellar and at least 3 food tour groups came through, passing feet from our table as we were dinning. Why were we seated in this spot? In addition, the owner dressed down our waiter in front of us because there were mismatched wine glasses on the table. One glass was taken which had wine in it. The glass was replaced, however the wine in it was not. It was just a really weird vibe overall. We found better places in the neighborhood.

We were recommended here by a friend and are so glad we went. The food was incredible, and the staff were all very pleasant.. especially the owner, Francesco who was engaging and hospitable. All of the food we had was great, especially the pastas (we were a group so we had the chance to try many... all good!) The wine cellar was an experience of its own. We will definitely be back next time we are in Rome. Highly recommend!

Lovely menu, excellent food quality, wonderful staff. The finest wine selection I have ever seen. Unmatched ambiance particularly due to the historic premises. I was visiting Rome and highly anticipating this visit, and it exceeded all my expectations.

The big draw for this restaurant is the "huge" wine cellar they advertised. There are no prices visible and also no way to identify the wines without removing each one from the shelf. We found that a large majority of the bottles seemed to be the San Giovese, which we ended up choosing. The beef stew was nothing but beef and the pasta was just OK. Very disappointing after a 30- minute cab ride.

Awesome night out at Spirito di Vino had an amazing meal. The service was excellent and to top off the night we were able to see their wine cellar which dates back to 80 BC showing a spectacular selection of wine. Thanks for an awesome meal.

The restaurant is located in an old building a few hundred metres off the Main Street through Trastevere. We were welcomed by a somewhat eccentric host whose main preoccupation, possibly understandably, was trying to trace a non-showing party of seven. Once settled at our table we were well looked after by our waiter who helped us through the food and drinks menu. The food was delicious, of high quality and very well prepared. Whilst slow-cooking is very much a feature of the restaurant the whole meal was well paced. Tables were rather closely spaced leading from time to time to a slightly crowded feeling. The downsides were generally minor resulting in a very pleasurable evening for my wife and myself.

Very nice and entertaining owner, great atmosphere and food. I especially loved that each item on the menu listed any possible allergens in the ingredients. I was able to eat very well. The wine cave is fabulous! Molto bene! Grazi mille!

This was such a wonderful surprise! A Mother and Son team bring you an amazing culinary experience with an unforgettable wine list. We had the liver pate, carbonara and the pork followed by desert and grappa. Mama is the Chef (she’s also a scientist by training) and Francesco is the Maitre’D and charming host. Don’t miss the opportunity to have a wonderful meal and wine at this gem of a place! And make sure you tour the wine cellar. It will blow your mind!
