10/10We had 3 nights in Amsterdam. We ate here the first night. We deliberately ate at different places each night. Regretted not coming back here. It was great.

7.5/10The service was verry friendly and the ambiance was cozy. The flavors of the food were typical Indonesian, in particular the rendang. At some dishes the promised vegetables were very scarce, only a few carrot slices.

We had the Rijsttafel and it was fantastic. It is a small restaurant with a Balinese feel. Highly recommended for some authentic Indonesian food. Kind and friendly service.

3.5/10Unfortunately service was very bad. It was all around one waiter serving us in the top floor. Taking the order very late. imposing many “rules” from the beginning. Refusing to serve tap water at a restaurant - being with kids - is just no acceptable- ended up paying nearly 20 euros for 3 waters. It is said in the menu, yes - but it’s unacceptable to deny tap water. Dishes were overpriced for the quantity provided. Very dull presentation of food. When a friend joined the table a minute after we ordered, even before he got a chance to sit and look at the menu, the waiter said he HAD to order immediately otherwise he wouldn’t get his food until much after us. So much stress and unpleasantness!! When we asked to order a an extra small side of the salad that came as a (tiny) side with the meat, he said no, that it only came in big dishes. So actually telling us not to order. The whole experience was as if the waiter wanted us to leave. Not recommended.

Thank you for your bad review, I still remember who you are , you came with 4 adults and 1 child 10 years old , we had 108 Guests that night, you are the only one coming with complaints, you liked the food very well, why you lied about the price of our big bottle Stillwater? The right price is €5,50 , you ordered 3 bottles is €16,50 , why don’t you want to pay the mixed vegetables? You ordered only small one because you don’t want to pay it , nothing is free wherever you are , if you want to be frugal, you shouldn't be in Amsterdam , every restaurant have their own rules not your own rules , our prices are transparent

Friendly little restaurant in the museum quarter has a lovely rijstafel. They have a room up some very steep stairs for larger groups. We enjoyed a seat in the window watching cyclists and other people passing by and boats on the canal.

10/10Wonderful Rice Table with friends. We had the prix fix and it was more than enough for us. The service was wonderful and the ambience delightful. If you are looking for traditional Dutch/Indonesian rice table you won’t be disappointed.

We came here for dinner our first night in Amsterdam. The food didn't disappoint, it was so good. We decided to get the Indonesian Rijsttafel Special to try a bit of everything. I'd highly recommend it if you haven't had Indonesian before. The place also had a nice atmosphere, and our waiter and the nice old guy who I believe was the owner made sure we had everything we wanted.

Without any big expectations, as we did a last minute booking, we entered the restaurant. We had a nice seat next to the window as requested and were received by very friendly people despite a big group of 50 people that just entered. As it was a first experienced with this kind of food, we were very well helped and we had to say that the choice was excellent. The Price / Quality and excellent service was outstanding. Great place

4/10I wanted to love this place. The service was great but the food wasn't. Beef dish was extremely salty. Sate was drenched in sauce. Pickled vegetables were very sweet.

8/10Beautiful restaurant very close to the Museum area in Amsterdam. The service was lovely and the place outstanding (beautiful decoration, quit ambiance, and very attentif). I was just expecting a little more from the price both in quantity and outstanding quality. The app say that in averagw people spend 15 euros, but you simply can’t spend less than 25 per person. In short, it waa alright for an introduction to the indonesian food in Amsterdam.

10/10We had been awaiting a full rijstafel as there are none in Boston and Tripadvisor doesn't even list Indonesian as a cuisine. This place did not disappoint, everything was excellent, the food, the service, the friendly staff, the promptness of seating. Highly recommenced.

7/10Note: My rating I for “service”, ***** for “fast”, should really be *, for “much too fast”, but there was no such option. We arrived very early, when it was still very quiet. Nevertheless, they came to our table to take our order straight away. Our food arrived almost immediately. The main course - a lamb dish - was good! But I was surprised that I had to pay extra for the accompanying rice (side dish?) and atjar. When we had hardly finished eating, they immediately tried to clear the table, which of course felt like: please leave. Five minutes later, when we were still talking and enjoying the wine, another waiter tried it too. A bit later, the same person cleared it anyway, although we still didn’t want that yet: we had come for a good time, not for the fastest dinner experience ever. Then we tried to order a desert. I asked them to replace the ice cream and chocolate sauce accompanying the pisang goreng by a few drops of pisang ambon liquor (which they had on the menu), but that was “impossible”, so I didn’t order it, but they brought it anyway (the standard version), and the waiter got very annoyed when I refused it. Although we had tried hard to let them leave us alone a bit, to spend some quality time together, we were outside again very quickly. Too quickly.

5/10Quantity-quality-price ratio was really poor (expensive for tiny portions), also refused to serve us tab water (which is compulsory for any place serving alcohol in the Netherlands) and pressured us to order eat and leave fast throughout our meal. Would not recommend.

people who get a 30% discount are the people who are often very demanding , just go to a restaurant that suits your budget, our prices are transparent, you could have left too, there are so many restaurants in Amsterdam with prices under €15, think carefully about your budget before entering a restaurant, don't be negative

6/10The food was exquisite and the ambiance delightful. After we had finished our meal, the owner/waiter brought us dessert menus. When he returned, he had our check and said he was sorry but our table was booked for 7:30. We could not have dessert and we must leave. It was exactly 7:30 and we had arrived on time for our reservation at 6:30. If it was true that there was another reservation, we should have been told when we arrived that we would not be able to stay more than an hour. Many of the other diners witnessed this and were appalled. We have been to this restaurant several times over the years, but cancelled plans to return the next evening.

10/10Last visited here about 6 years ago. On this visit, only had one night in Amsterdam so this was the one restaurant we wanted to come back to. The food is incredible. The rijstafel is full of amazing flavours. The hosts were very welcoming. Can't recommend this enough - but make sure you book! We will be back next time we are in Amsterdam.
