Rijstoffel was excellent at 35 Euros. Eleven dishes plus two kinds of rice, including two shrimp dishes, two beef, and two chicken. Beef lovers will especially enjoy the traditional coconut Indonesian beef dish. Small restaurant (38 seats on main floor but more on upper floor) located in old house opposite canal in Museum Quarter. Service was attentive from one very busy server for entire restaurant, with help from owner. Food arrived from basement kitchen via dumb waiter. Modest wine and spirits list. House wines unremarkable.

Delicious beef dish (house speciality) and my niece enjoyed the duck, as did I when I tried some of hers. Attentive service and an intimate, atmospheric restaurant. It was nice to be able to buy wine as a half litre and the house white was a good accompaniment to the excellent food. Other diners seemed to appreciate the rijstafel.

5.5/10We had a 6:30 reservation, service and food delivery was slow and then at 8pm the owner told us we would have to leave because he had an 8pm reservation for our table. We didn't even have time for dessert. I've never been asked to leave a restaurant!!

We had the Rijsttafel and it was fantastic. It is a small restaurant with a Balinese feel. Highly recommended for some authentic Indonesian food. Kind and friendly service.

3.5/10Unfortunately service was very bad. It was all around one waiter serving us in the top floor. Taking the order very late. imposing many “rules” from the beginning. Refusing to serve tap water at a restaurant - being with kids - is just no acceptable- ended up paying nearly 20 euros for 3 waters. It is said in the menu, yes - but it’s unacceptable to deny tap water. Dishes were overpriced for the quantity provided. Very dull presentation of food. When a friend joined the table a minute after we ordered, even before he got a chance to sit and look at the menu, the waiter said he HAD to order immediately otherwise he wouldn’t get his food until much after us. So much stress and unpleasantness!! When we asked to order a an extra small side of the salad that came as a (tiny) side with the meat, he said no, that it only came in big dishes. So actually telling us not to order. The whole experience was as if the waiter wanted us to leave. Not recommended.

Thank you for your bad review, I still remember who you are , you came with 4 adults and 1 child 10 years old , we had 108 Guests that night, you are the only one coming with complaints, you liked the food very well, why you lied about the price of our big bottle Stillwater? The right price is €5,50 , you ordered 3 bottles is €16,50 , why don’t you want to pay the mixed vegetables? You ordered only small one because you don’t want to pay it , nothing is free wherever you are , if you want to be frugal, you shouldn't be in Amsterdam , every restaurant have their own rules not your own rules , our prices are transparent

Friendly little restaurant in the museum quarter has a lovely rijstafel. They have a room up some very steep stairs for larger groups. We enjoyed a seat in the window watching cyclists and other people passing by and boats on the canal.

10/10Wonderful Rice Table with friends. We had the prix fix and it was more than enough for us. The service was wonderful and the ambience delightful. If you are looking for traditional Dutch/Indonesian rice table you won’t be disappointed.

We came here for dinner our first night in Amsterdam. The food didn't disappoint, it was so good. We decided to get the Indonesian Rijsttafel Special to try a bit of everything. I'd highly recommend it if you haven't had Indonesian before. The place also had a nice atmosphere, and our waiter and the nice old guy who I believe was the owner made sure we had everything we wanted.

Without any big expectations, as we did a last minute booking, we entered the restaurant. We had a nice seat next to the window as requested and were received by very friendly people despite a big group of 50 people that just entered. As it was a first experienced with this kind of food, we were very well helped and we had to say that the choice was excellent. The Price / Quality and excellent service was outstanding. Great place

8/10Beautiful restaurant very close to the Museum area in Amsterdam. The service was lovely and the place outstanding (beautiful decoration, quit ambiance, and very attentif). I was just expecting a little more from the price both in quantity and outstanding quality. The app say that in averagw people spend 15 euros, but you simply can’t spend less than 25 per person. In short, it waa alright for an introduction to the indonesian food in Amsterdam.

9/10Excellent atmosphere, small, intimate, family-owned with good, authentic Indonesian food. A little pricey but worth it, and the location is great if you just visited one of the big museums.
