Food (stamppot) was super tasty, staff very friendly. Only little minus: the restaurant has a completely open front to the terrace, but today was a quit cold and rainy August evening, so it was a bit cold and windy also inside. Never mind, we still enjoyed our food and our stay and would come back. But better bring a sweater... ;-)

I was worried that this unique dutch dish would not be enjoyed by our whole party, but all 6 of us really enjoyed Stamppot in our first experience. It was truly filling and was way more than just mashed potatoes and meat. Two of also ordered Snert, Dutch pea soup, and also enjoyed this tasty treat. To top it off the service was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

This was the best authentic Dutch meal we had on our trip. Small, friendly restaurant that serves excellent food. We tried biterballen, pea soup, 2 of the stamppots, and herring. All were delicious. Prices were favorable compared to many other places we ate. Reservations are recommended because it’s a small restaurant.

Dutch cuisine for dinner.. Booked the place based on The Fork ratings and rank & not disappointed at all. They were kind enough to push our reservation by 30 minutes. The server was kind to suggest the beer options and non-beef options. Ambience was good. Dutch beer lived up to its expectations. Starter herring was so fresh & their traditional Stamppot dishes were also good. The French toast desert was the best of the lot. Definitely worth visiting if you’re searching for local cuisine when in Amsterdam; definitely book before you go.
