they tell you on arrival that the annonced 20% off are not for the whole carte but for 1st and 2nd courses only. They didn't even count it for the side dish with the 2nd course ( calamares a basilique) who is so small. The preset menu seems to be much better and cheper. Bad experience!

Food quality has diminished, Our food was smelling like someone smoked cigarettes on it. Could not eat papaya salad, too spicy even though asked for not spicy. Lettuce was not totally washed.

Very friendly waiters, unfortunately Fried fish appeared to be microwaved and sauce was way too oily. Had the same dish a week prior and was much better.

The food was good but the service was not good. We felt the pressure to order in a hurry. The minute we finished our meal we were asked to leave - "people are waiting, can you leave?" Even though we had a reservation with no time limit. The discount with la fourchette did not apply to many things on the menu as shared by the server.

We are regular customers of Suan Thai and we enjoy a tasty and hearty meal every time we visit. Don’t miss the delicious prawn cakes and the spring rolls. Chicken pad Thai could have been better. The fried rice was so good. In short, no item will disappoint you. An excellent service, good quality with adequate portions are the highlights here. That’s why we introduced this restaurant to many friends though it’s location is a bit hidden.

It was my second visit, and felt dsipointed with the food, I remembered it way better. beef salad was lacking some spiciness and fresh herbs Duck Red curry was also a bit too simple.

Waiters, only two on a Saturday night, were far from warm in their manner, and cared little that the beers were not truly cold. So indifferent was the service that I won’t go back to what had been a favorite Thai in the Marais. I recently ate better Thai cuisine with truly friendly wait staff at Khao Thai Pont Neuf or newer location, rue de Sévigné in the 4th.

The place was busy, space between tables is not much and the layout is long and narrow, so a bit claustrophobic. The ordering process was quite irritating: the first two wines we chose weren’t available, and apparently the printed menu (one of the last left around in Paris, I think) had courses that were different than those the waiter had in his palmtop, so he kept asking questions we didn’t understand, the whole thing was really annoying. Then, I realized I had no knife, so we asked for one, we got three forks. At that point we decided we should just laugh about it and it became some sort of entertainment. I want to point out the fact that we were a mixed group, with people speaking French, so language was not the issue. Anyway, the food was excellent, at least. At some point we left the table to go out and smoke a cigarette, yes, I know, bad bad habit but still, we were planning to get back inside and maybe order a dessert. Imagine the surprise when we go back and find the bill on the table. We ordered a plate of fruit just for revenge, so that they had to make the bill again.

We had satay and spring rolls, king prawn curry and chicken/garlic dishes. Taste and presentation was perfect. I’ve been to many thai restaurants, but this was one of the best. The price was also quite reasonable.

Very good Thai food. You can get it hot/spicy or not. The soups we had were very good as we're the main dishes. Some French desserts. My son said the Creme Brulee was very good.

Elegant restaurant serving quality food. Service was excellent. Our server spoke English very well which was a big help in ordering. Very friendly and attentive. Food prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for! Highly recommend!

Excellent dishes. A bit pricey, but the La Fouchette discount helped a little. Please be aware that (as our server explained up front) for them the discount only applies to entrées et plats, so we paid full price for our side dishes: liserons (a garlicky veg dish - very tasty), and rice, as well as the dessert: - a mango coco tiramisu (which was so good that my wife trumped our tacit 50/50 agreement and grabbed the rest)
