10/10Quite and peaceful environment. Great selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura. Great appropriately priced wine list. Reservations not necessarily required but recommended. A five minute walk outside the town arches. Really good. No spirits offered.

9.5/10The food at Sushi Kai definitely lived up to its reputation- stunning quality and beautifully presented. The restaurant was quiet when we first arrived at 7 but was livening up by the time we left at 8.45. Excellent wine list too though I am not quite sure why their wines by the glass are not on the wine list.

10/10The food was good. We missed Asian cuisine. This restaurant offers good sushi and sashimi. The waiter, Julien, was very friendly. We enjoyed our conversation with him and the owner. The garden is very tranquil and beautiful. We will return if we come back to this area.

9.5/10We made a last minute reservation while passing by Beaune on our travels towards the South of France, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the delicious sushi. Super fresh, tasting more fish than rice (as it should), and originally presented on your plate. Definitely recommend!

10/10I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Japanese restaurant and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was expertly crafted with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The sushi was particularly impressive, with the fish being incredibly fresh and the rice perfectly cooked. The service was also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. 10/10This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! It was already exciting when we walked in and down the bamboo-lined hallway to get to the restaurant, and what a lovely surprise to find a beautiful terrace in the back with a beautiful garden full of lovely trees and bamboo. It was like we had walked into a secret world. The sushi was the best we EVER had, delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. The service was spectacular and our waitress singlehandedly took care of about 30 guests with no problems at all. She was efficient and still had time to stop and exchange a few words and make us feel welcome. There was a very interesting selection on the menu, not only sushi. Tip for wheelchair drivers: The tables inside the restaurant are high with high stools, so if you are making a reservation on a day when you might not want to be outside, be sure to specify that you need a regular-height table and they will most certainly move one inside for you. This is definitely a place we will return to during a future visit to Beaune.

9/10Excellent service and atmosphere. Best miso soup ever. Tempura dishes, shrimp and vegetable, were large, well-prepared portions. The fish used in the sushi assortment was tough, that is, chewy.

6.5/10Our family had dinner in the backyard, which was a good and responsible choice in these covid days. Good atmosphere, but relatively long wait due to lack of staff. Sushi and sashimi were excellent. Salmon and duck were good. Ramen very disappointing. Overall an OK experience, but we had higher expectations from this place.

10/10Sushi/sashimi had 3 salmon pieces and could have had better variety. That is my only complaint. Loved the service, the food and the wine. It was a nice break from Burgundian richness. The restaurant is beautiful besides being very good.
