Sushi was super fresh, probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Thank God my husband found an English version of the menu online before we went because the restaurant didn’t have an English menu.

We had a wonderful evening at Sushi Poel. We ordered a boat. The quality is second to none and this was the perfect setting to share a good moment with friends. The waiters were fantastic and very friendly. Highly recommended!

We found this place via TheFork as a local recommendation. We love sushi so we decided to give it a go, and I’m happy to say they deserve 5 stars across the board. Great food with a very good quality and freshness. The service was very kind and thanks to the discount via TheFork it was the best price/quality sushi we had in a looooong time. Definitely give it a go when you visit Ghent!

We had avocado salad, octopus takoyaki, salmon and eel nigiri, and salmon teriyaki. The fish was fresh and the cooking excellent. The service was excellent too. My only “room for improvement” comment would be that the restaurant smelled slightly dusty inside, but maybe that’s only me.

The food was a delight. My sister and son were of the same opinion. Visit the restaurant and find out for yourself. The lady who served us was very attentive, and she did her job with a measured humorous touch. The restaurant is in the center of Ghent, and it can easily be reached by means of public transport.

The food was amazing and the waitress was really friendly and sweet. Overall was a really positive experience. Only things I would say could be better was the music played and the decoration (I would like more typical Japanese), but that’s also personal preference.

Lovely staff and delicious food! I am always happy when I go to Sushi Poel. We ordered some starters, a main dish and a menu for 3. We were 5. It was more than enough. Totally recommend
