Fair amout of food for a 4 course surprise meal. The service was great and the place very comfortable. Special mention to the mandarin sorbet for dessert, delicious.

Amazing gourmet dinner - tasting menus. They perfectly adjusted the menus according to our special wishes regarding ingredients.

The service was great and food tasted well, however it was a bit loud and sometimes not easy to talk with my husband. The quality of the food was good and the wine were fitting with the menu.

We visited 't Koetshuys multiple times on our last visit to Groningen, and it was now wonderful to come back to the familiar restaurant. The food and atmosphere were just as good as last year or even better.

+1Very nice and unique location. Top quality food. Very friendly staff. However, bread as a starter should be included in menue price (was not). An Amuse Bouche should be served; can be a small but low cost and creative one. This would increase the dining experience. Main side dishes such as potatoe (e.g. along with the main duck course we had) should not being extra charged. Either include it in the menue price or do not offer it. I do not want to think during dinner if I want this and that in addition or not (by the way without any info regarding any extra cost). To sum it up: great evening, great food, great staff and great location. But: Just raise prices for the menues in general by EUR 10 and include bread, Amuse Bouche and side dish of Main Course. No need those 3 have to raise contribution margin at all, but just cover their cost. Guests will appreciate it. Thanks for the great evening.

If you come to Groningen, you have to visit this restaurant! The place, the food and the service is excellent! A menu full of discoveries, plates well decorated and organized with different flavors and consistency. A tremendous pleasure at every stage! And always a good wine story for each plate! Only regret: we should have gone for the 6 course menu, as we really really enjoyed discovering our 4 courses!

Really good food with lovely staff and atmosphere. Great value for tasting menu-which also took the stress out of dining. Sea bass tartar was amazing!

The food was exquisite. The wine pairings were just incredible, and the service, 5-star. I would definitely recommend it and would be coming back very soon!

Combine the love for sensational food, relaxed atmosphere and warm hospitality then you are at the 't Koetshuys! We chose the 5 courses menu. Do you know that feeling of wishing that there would be just a little bit more of the lovely soup or that delicate meat…. Le jus of the main course is one the best on the northern hemisphere! Thx for the pleasure of being your guests! Finally Big thanks especially to the staff-ladies. You did a great job!

Imagine a great old-fashioned bar, good beers on tap included, with a chef at the level of a fine dining restaurant but without the attitude that sometimes goes with it, and three super friendly girls running the dining area with a natural Dutch flair. The switch from an IPA to matching wines for the 4 course chef menu never felt more natural. Every dish was a feast for the eyes and taste buds without trying to impress too hard. Solid wine selection for every dish. To-the-point introductions to dishes ánd wines with a focus on taste rather than talk. A great place to roll from afternoon-beers into fine dining without leaving the table. Strongly recommended and impossible to regret.

The service was impecable, really sweet and attentive. The food was delicious. We were especially surprised by the oyster mushrooms and beetroot salad because we thought it might taste too much of beets, but the taste was subtle and slightly sweet. The fish of the day (sea bass) was really good, and the truffle risotto as well, the later being more filling. The only thing from everything we ate that wasn’t as great was the tiramisu, as the biscuit wasn’t soaked in coffee as it is usually done and the cream was a bit flavorless. However, the lava cake was delicious. My partner and I recommend it!

This charming restaurant was incredible! The food was delicious with an amazing presentation and the service was really good (even though it could have been a bit faster). Regarding the atmosphere, it was a relaxed and romantic place. We went there to celebrate my birthday and I really appreciated the candle with the dessert. A place to come back!

Very good plates, tastes and presentation, a little bit expensive but quite affordable with the theFork discount. We advice it to you all.

Really nice place, the staff was very polite and gave us good info about the possibilities. There food was amazing, all 6 agreed to that. We would definitely go back.
