9.5/10Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We had booked and were greeted by name at the door without reference to a computer. Pleasant helpful staff. A good choice on the menu and the discount was taken from the bill without us asking. If we are back in Lisbon we'd definitely visit again.

10/10This restaurant offers great food and quiet ambience in the center of Lisbon. Service is excellent and food is outstanding. We ordered the Octopus and the shrimp dish and “oh boy so delicious “. Definitely an outstanding dining experience in the heart of Lisbon.

8.5/10Dinner for two, a fairly loud group on either side of us plus right next to the lobby door. The food was wonderful as always and the staff attentive, friendly and professionnal. Always a favorite of ours.

10/10Had to have an early dinner (early by Lisbon standards) so the place was still fairly empty by 8.30 pm. Excellent empanadas and fillet of fish, good local wine by the glass. Superb and unobtrusive service in classical surroundings.

10/10Friendly and enthusiastic staff, succulent food. Taberna do Lis turned out to be a cosy, tastefully decorated small restaurant. Our waiter gave us enthusiastic and detailed explanations about the dishes on the à la carte menu and the various wines. My husband chose the Bacalhau do Lis, which turned out to be superb, I had the Leitão á Bairrada (piglet from de Bairrada region), which had a tasty crispy crost and tasted great. We both had a yummy and light chocolate mousse. We had a half liter still water an I had one (large) glass of red wine, also from the Bairrado region. We were happily satisfied by our meal. A word of caution: if you have a larger appetite then we had, be aware that portions are uncharacteristically small for Portugal. You’ll want to order a starter before your main dish.

9.5/10On our first visit to Lisbon we were looking for some authentic Portuguese fare including fresh fish. We were thrilled to have found Taberna do lis quite near our hotel. Ww both selected the fish of the day which was sea bass with perfectly cooked vegetables. Mateus was our waiter and he looked after us so well with his friendly style .

10/10This restaurant came highly recommended and we would second that. The service and food were excellent: we had garlic shrimp, piglet patties, sea bass, bacalao, and chocolate mousse, together with a bottle of Vinho Verde. It was my first time having bacalao and I probably wouldn't again as it is not to my taste, however I couldn't help but notice that the Portuguese patrons at surrounding tables were quite enthusiastic about it, and they would be the experts! We decided to sit indoors but they have a roomy outdoor area on a cobblestone side street off the main drag which looked quite nice too. Total 107€ for two.
