8/10Food was great, but extremely slow. Service was good and attentive. Portions are very well served and products are fresh, so price is justifiable. It is a tapas / sharing place, so consider to order 3-5 plates for a couple. The decoration is nice, but there's nothing romantic about it nor is there ambience. In other words, great for a normal dinner or after a day at the beach; but not for a date night out. Star dish of the night: Tom Yummi, closest to real tom yum I've tasted in Portugal Not far behind: meat bao, sumptious melting meat and great sauce with a coleslaw (questionable mix that went really well together) Disappointing: tacos - plain, taco tasted stale and too crunchy (like cardboard) We had no desserts, so can't comment about it. All in all, we look forward to our next visit! Thank you for receiving us

8.5/10Good location by the sea and nice set up of the room, mixing wood, metal and glass. The concept is food sharing: they recommend 3 to 5 dishes (their names are incredibly funny) for a couple, which we experienced. The cuisine is very creative while remaining traditional in its taste and reasonably priced when enjoying a discount. Good choice of wines.

10/10One of the best gems in the area! We love this restaurant. The food is delicious and varied which we prefer but most importantly the staff is amazing. Maria is always so kind, welcoming and just overall a joy to be around. We look forward to many many returns.

8.5/10We frequently eat at Caldas co owned restaurants. So I was shocked Marginal sold Pepsi instead of Coca-Cola. I'm a coke addict so this was a,disappointment. The food was good.

3/10We ordered 3 dishes and 2 others to come later. The first 2 dishes arrived promptly but the third didn't arrive for another 45 minutes. The final 2 dishes (fake pizzas) were uncooked because the pizza dough was raw. The waiter implied that it was our fault for not saying that we weren't sharing all 3 of the main dishes and offered no real apology for the uncooked pizzas.

10/10Super tasty, fresh and different. Maybe you're tired of typical Portuguese restaurant meals too - you know - everything is served with salad and chips! Marginal Tavern provides a refreshing alternative offering flavours and foods from the world over, but in tapas styled portions. We shared the ceviche, then the prawn soup, the bao buns, and the duck. Everything was divine - and the staff were lovely and attentive.

10/10This restaurant is amazing. The dishes are so inventive and all that we tried were delicious. However, none of them gave any information about allergies. Pork belly was served in buns that contained gluten but there was no mention of this on the menu. For me it’s not such a great problem but some people have serious allergies to these things and it is not fair that there is no mention of these on the money or no one giving advice as to what things contain.

10/10The gastronomic experience was great: diversity of flavours, superb presentation, and nice staff. Pisco sour was really good. And octopus, ceviche and duck were very good choices. Disapointed with the very small choice of fines.

10/10Busy little spot on the waterfront, we booked a table via The Fork. Got a lovely table at the front, overlooking the beach. Our waitress was extremely helpful and went through the menu, style of food etc and had some great recommendations, especially for the children. We tried a range of dishes, shrimp, cod, beef, duck, samosas etc and each was delicious. Fabulous dining experience and everyone enjoyed it.

10/10Went to have lunch on a saunday with friends. Amazing chouce of food, you can either have something to share or something individual. We loved ordering different dishes to share in order to taste more things. I highky recommend the Baos and the octopus, they were exceptionally good!

10/10The food here is amazing, as well as the service and atmosphere. A cut above anything else we’ve had whilst on holiday, and we’ve had some lovely meals out. I’d describe it as modern tapas. Really well made, fresh and light. I’d highly recommend the fish tacos and the duck. The sangria is definitely worth a try too. We’ll be back.
