We loved the quaintness and ambiance of this restaurant. Some have commented on the rudeness of the staff but we found them nothing but attentive and friendly and willing to be patient with English speakers. We only ate from the tapas menu but enjoyed everything we had. We would return again for sure.

During our stay in Madrid we wanted to visit a less busy a neighborhood and were fortunate to find Taberna Rayuela. This restaurant is delightful with amazing food and a very welcoming environment and staff. Nothing pretentious about this lovely spot and we recommend it highly. We will be back next time we visit Madrid.

Reviews of Taberna Rayuela tempted us and they were right. Close to the centre but somewhat off the normal tourist beat. Very good, carefully-prepared food. And a relaxed, ordinary ambience that felt comfortable. The friendly service helped. But shining through the admirable ordinariness was a skilful kitchen. We went twice, each time sharing the mixed cured meats and cheese starter which was lovely with a glass of white wine. And then fish - the bacalao was excellent. Recommended.

Attractive welcoming atmosphere. Owners friendly, efficient and accommodating. Tapas plates delicious; varied dishes. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

Rustic eatery - we were a party of eight so we had pre booked - super experience with lots of sharing dishes - beef cheek was divine - worth it for a reasonably priced night out

Estimado Philippe: Lamentamos que, según tus propias palabras, la experiencia no te haya parecido “inolvidable”. Y gracias por recomendarnos para el "menú diario". Pero no podemos coincidir contigo en tu apreciación de que nuestro menú es caro: Ojo a los datos: cóctel de bienvenida, entrante, tres platos, postre, dulces, uvas, toda la bebida incluida, cava y cotillón por 85€. Cuando reservaste con nosotros (con 15 días de antelación, por cierto), ya sabías el precio. Imaginamos que compararías con otros restaurantes y nos elegirías en base a la oferta gastronómica y al precio del menú. Por tanto, no entendemos tu malestar. De cualquier modo, gracias por pasar la Nochevieja con nosotros. ¡Feliz 2023!

Very nice place near Segovia bridge. Very Kind service en good food, the chef comes to ask if everything is going well. We had a menu and took dessert home because we were full.

The food was really disappointing. Croquettes were cold when they arrived. Ordered beef cheek on recommendation of the waiter and it was greasy, fatty and didn’t have much flavour. Overall very disappointing
