The staff was lovely but I feel sad for the reviewers who gave this food a good rating. I hope they get a chance to eat better pasta. It felt very American. We went down the street and had a much better second dinner.

Tacito is a sports bar with large screen tv’s showing games and noise commensurate with that. Pizza was very good with varied toppings available. Aunt Catherine’s meatballs were tender, moist and flavorful with a fresh marinara. Service was pleasant and attentive. Prices were average. We have yet to find bad pizza in Rome. ;-)

The carbonara with the truffle was so good and the bacon crispy. The pizza also was delicious. Will surely go back and try other pasta and pizza.

The cacio e pepe I had was fantastic, but if it weren’t for the food, I’d give this place one star based on my personal experience. The service was the worst I’ve had in Italy. I suspect it might have been because I was dining alone and also the only Black person in the restaurant. My waiter, listed as Alex on the check, initially seemed fine but soon started avoiding me. He offered other tables dessert and checked on them frequently, but ignored me completely. I had to ask multiple times for my check, which took 25 minutes to arrive. During that time, I hoped to be offered dessert like everyone else, but it never happened. I complimented the food and wine, but after that, my waiter avoided eye contact and ignored my empty glass. I tried twice to get his attention, but nothing. I hate making things about race, but it felt like he assumed I didn’t have money. I’m a well-dressed, successful Black person, but I was the only one in the restaurant like me. It was frustrating and awkward.

Awful, don’t waste your time. Absolutely terrible, waited so long for anything. Freezing cold lasagna, which is impossible for microwaved food. Avoid, avoid, avoid. If one of the severs hadn’t spent all night looking after only one table and leaving the restaurant to the other server it may have been better.

We had the salami, cheese and focaccia platter to start. The focaccia was incredible, wish we could go back to try their pizza. For mains we had three roman staples, namely carbonara, cacio e pepe and amatriciana, between the three of us. The presentation and taste of these three dishes were at another level altogether. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was vibrant and we really enjoyed the whole experience.

Pizza was good but the dough was not the usual white pizza dough so it was surprising as it was not expected. Something brown flour healthier option. Anyway it was ok, but that was not what we wanted at this point. Nice service, good ambience also. Would come back, but the pizza dough should be rather an option if some wanted brown. Might have missed this message form the restaurant vision.

This restaurant was a great find! Had an excellent meal and all the staff were very pleasant. Thoroughly recommend Tacito.

I went for the first time to Tacito in 2018 and it just opened and came back in 2023 as we loved our first visit! The restaurant is still as great as it was 5 years ago! The food is delicious and the people super nice !!

We had such a wonderful time. Food was amazing and service was excellent. We felt like family there. You have to go here!

Delicious pizza & carbonara. Air conditioning also very welcome this hot day. Highly recommend.
