There was a beautiful view from the guest room, we were a group of 10. But: the service was slow, we waited for ages, and the food was cold on cold plates. We gave it back and it came back not warmer, a pity, because it would have been cooked perfectly, especially the meat and the sauces.

It was an awful experience. I reserve the dinner at 18h to 21:30. Everything confirmed in the APP. When we arrive at 21:30 they claim that (there was no information in the Fork) to confirme the reservation they request a 50% advanced payment by WhatsApp that didn’t happen so they cancel the reservation (o don’t have notifications on WhatsApp). This in Valentine Day with all major restaurants full booked and no alternative. Awful treatment and I’m going to present a claim to the Fork.

Efectivamente, recebemos uma reserva a poucas horas do serviço começar através desta plataforma, tendo imediatamente sido alertados, pela via mais célere, de que a confirmação da reserva estaria condicionada a um pré-pagamento. Por não termos obtido resposta, a reserva quedou pendente. Atendendo ao sucedido e por já não termos capacidade de disponibilizar uma mesa aquando da sua chegada ao Restaurante, manifestou-nos o seu legítimo desagrado. Lamentamos obviamente o sucedido. Ainda que tenhamos agido de boa-fé, mobiliza-nos proporcionar experiências memoráveis, receber com excelência e cordialidade os nossos estimados convidados, pelo que temos consciência do transtorno suscitado. Teremos o maior gosto em clarificar junto do The Fork os factos, nuances e circunstâncias desta situação.

The view

We were the only clients for lunch, probably due to the lack of air conditioning but a breeze made it OK after we called down. An initial glass of water would have been appreciated.. We were greeted by one staff member who then disappeared and only 5-8 minutes later did our waiter appear. He was very good but we felt a little ignored. Otherwise excellent view and decor and food.

The restaurant was charming, but the food was bad. The food didn't taste good at all or it tasted a little bad. The portions weren't pretty, they were almost ugly

Beautiful view upstairs. Really good service. The starter and main courses were good and lovely sparkling wine but the desert let the meal down for us - I got a very strange rice pudding flavoured with Port which just did not work, it wasn't sweet enough, my husband got "chocolate forest" which was like a big "wagon wheel" - we were disappointed with the deserts not too our taste!

The food is very tasty and very delicately cooked. The blend of flavours in every single dish is curated with the precision of a surgeon. The venue is simply incredible and the the view over Lisbon, breathtaking. Definitely coming again.

The service and the food is excellent. We can enjoy a affordable and reasonable pricing for set lunch. Their view is also good.

The setting is wonderful with a spectacular view of the Castle. Very attentive waitors. We had the set menu with wine pairing. The wine pairing was a very good deal and we tasted Portuguese wines that were new to us and very good. The food was tasty and I loved the lamb - unfortunately the amount of food was not enough. We left feeling we needed more to eat. A terrible shame as a larger main course would have been enough to really make this a fantastic meal. So go for the A la carte - those portions seems better.

At the lunch service, the food unfortunately took a long time to arrive, and when it arrived, it wasn’t very good. Pretty disappointing altogether… they comped us 3 free drinks though.

+1The whole experience was quite nice, but some of the dishes, more specifically the second entry was not as good, the desserts where nice but the coockies/crunble where very stiff. The main dishes where great though. Overall a nice experience.

Beautiful view in a modre restaurant paying respect to Portuguese heritage. I only wish the cooking was as good as the service.

+2What an amazing experience for our fancy honeymoon dinner! 10/10! Stunning view of the water, interior so well decorated, and absolutely stunning food. We had the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and not a single course or wine disappointed! Dave and Daniella were so amazing and we cannot thank them enough for such a lovely evening!

The service, view and ambiance are excellent. The food was not great, stale bread, frozen butter and entrees were sub par. Dessert was strange. A bit disappointing for the price and for something that is on the Michelin guide I expected better. Dinner was ruined when another patron belittled the server for the food being average, which it was, but to no fault of the waitstaff and meaning no disrespect to anyone in the kitchen. I’d blame the Michelin guide if there is anyone to blame.

We were the only table of 4 people when we got there at 7 PM. It took us more than 2.5 hrs to finish our dinner. Didn’t know why it took so long to bring out the foods while we were the only table at the restaurant at that time. We chose preset menu when we booked our reservation, therefore there was no reason for them to take that long to bring out the foods. When we chose preset menu, they already knew what to prepare before we even get there. At the end, we had to tell the waiter to be hurry to bring out our dessert. Otherwise, it could take more than 2.5 hrs for our dinner. Overall, The foods were just ok; The wait staff were polite and friendly; The view was great.

The view and ambiance is fantastic. The food is good but not exceptional. We had the fixed price 3-course lunch special. With the Michelin mention, I was expecting something very special, but the pork main dish was a little dry and ordinary. The dessert (chocolate mouse) was also very ordinary. As for the service, my lemonade was a little too sweet, so when I asked to add a little additional sparkling water to it to make it less sweet, I was told I need to buy a bottle of sparkling water if I want to add to it. I didn't consider that very good service. Still, it was overall a good value, but a left a little to be desired.

All in all, the restaurant is likeable, although there are a few misses which, if corrected, could elevate the whole experience better. For the price of the meal, we expect a bit more sophistication from the menu, if not the quality of the food. Perhaps the kitchen was understaffed in the week after Christmas, we felt disappointed in the food - we had to send the salad back to kitchen because it was overly savoury, and the pork scotch fillet was hard to chew because it was overcooked. Floor staff were nice but they couldn’t answer some questions we had about the menu before checking with senior staff. By the time we paid and went down for our jackets, nobody came to help us at the cloak area so we had to help ourselves. We know this is a fancy restaurant but it disappointed my friend by rejecting his request for normal tap water to start with. By law, this should have been made available. The view was unbeatable though.

A wonderful place with a beautiful view. We took the daily menú during lunch and the plates were very delicious. I hope to come back again. Excellent service! I suggest to eat here if you come in Lisboa!

Very cosy place with amazing view over city. It was a working day, but still i was susrprised that it was not full. We took the tasting meny and every bite was very interesting combination of textures and tastes. We enjoyed. We will for sure recomend this place to friends.

Elegant restaurant, with beautiful views. Very nice original food, based on local ingredients. Staffs is very effective and pleasant. A very nice experience in Lisboa.

A disappointing meal. The view was great but the food did not live up to expectations. The fish was overcooked and dry. Only one vegetarian item on menu and waiter brought a fish pre starter for the vegetarian. The veg in the vegetarian were over cooked. And overpriced.

This restaurant offers a nice view over the city if you are assigned a good table at the front. The food was good but nothing special, the menu somewhat restricted with only 3 starters, 2 fish or 2 meat dishes and 3 desserts to choose from. The wine selection was very good and the staff correct and friendly.

After visiting Tagide Restaurant multiple times I was really disappointed to see that they are mixing “Company Event Groups” with regular customers in the same dining room. People walking in between tables, taking selfies, opening windows, shouting to each other’s, etc. The nice ambiance of the old times was completely lost. Food was good as usual but you don’t visit this kind of expensive restaurant just for the food, right?

Welcoming atmosphere, stunning view over Lisbon, tasting menu in Michelin Class, wine paring excellent and the additional bottle of espumante was very affordable. Very little that’s to be done to earn a Michelin star, I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to make a visit more for the alacate.

We had a vegetarian restriction so maybe that was a limitation. The starters were okay but my mushroom main course (a bit bland), my wife’s monk fish (very salty), duck was okay for my daughter. Drinks were good. Ambience looking out the window was also good but inside the room itself was set up okay. We were at palacio chiado the prior night and loved that place (sorry, just giving a reference point). Also none of the food was hot - all were just warm.
