I have been going to Tan Dinh for many years, and finde the food to be absolutely extraordinary: delicate, flavorful, and original. I know of no equal for this wonderful Vietnamese cuisine. Nicholas Fox Weber

Still a hidden gem in Paris, delicious food and wine a Paris institution.

Greeting, owner’s personal conversation, excellent food

The ambience is wonderful - very tranquil compared to the sidewalk cafes along Boulevard St Germain. Food - delicious Vietnamese food. All in all, wonderful

Excellent menu, extraordinary wine list, attentive service and a fascinating and witty owner and host.

Tan Dinh never dissapoints. I was there few years ago.. the place is a wonderful calm exquisite food and service old school. The owner a fine connaisseur of wine always so humble and so wonderful. Thank you for a special experience

Excellent food with a very impressive wine list. Highly recommend.

Very very disappointing. Have dined here before and enjoyed it. Not this time however. The food was tasteless. Will not return.

The shrimp roll was crispy and tasty. But mango salad was too sour and sweet and the duck entree was very ordinary. All dishes were served just cooked with too much sauce, without any presentation at all. I wondered if the chef enjoyed his work…

Food is great and wine list even better. Loved to chat with owner Robert - a great wine connaisseur!! I recommend it!

This was our second visit to Tan Dinh and it was superior to our first. The dining area is quite intimate and wonderfully reminiscent of Saigon, whilst the food is delicate, flavoursome and interesting. Cant go past the goose of course, but all the fish main course dishes were excellent.

Excellent food, as we remembered from many years ago. We were also pleased that the restaurant, which is renowned for its wine list, included some half-bottles on the menu. We chose a Sancerre Blanc that was outstanding and reasonably priced.

They didn't have the reservation we made on your website and when we arrived seemed annoyed that we were there. When I showed them the confirmation on the phone, they were still not happy but seated us. They were not friendly at all and the food was average. I ordered an expensive bottle of wine and tried to engage the sommelier/owner about it but he was not very interested in discussing it. They served the wine and we poured it ourselves throughout the meal. They were much friendlier to a couple who they obviously knew, but otherwise the waiter and owners seemed disinterested in being there. A very disappointing experience and I would not recommend going there. The beef for two was served at room temperature and very rare.

Average food.

While the food was very fresh and good, it wasn't extraordinary. The ambiance was awkward---it looked old and not very welcoming (decor, straight-backed chairs, lighting etc). There was no music and it was silent so you felt like you had to whisper for privacy. The owners seem like lovely people but they did not create an inviting atmosphere.

Robert Vfian is a most knowledgeable wine person as well as a superb chef de cuisine. The wine list is fabulous and anyone who enjoys great flavor in food and excellent wines will be more than happy

This place is unique! Great food, authentic, well-prepared dishes, and very attentive, personalized service. The brothers who own and operate Tan Dinh truly understand that they’re I. The hospitality business! Great value, too!

Lovely and delicious. We got the tip from the NYT, and it was worth it. The only thing that wasn’t superb was the flambé banana for dessert, it had an off, alcohol taste. Don’t miss this opportunity while in Paris!

So wonderful to be back at Tan Dinh after years of absence from Paris. It was #1 on our “go-to” list. We weren’t disappointed, the food, wine, and service were absolutely perfect, and brought back so many wonderful tastes and memories. This place is unique, one of a kind, don’t miss it! All the food is fabulous and so flavorfully different, and the wine list is one of the best in the World. Don’t miss the goose dumpling appetizer.-Alexander Julian

Food is overpriced for the quality. Starters were good but the mains were under seasoned and no better than restaurants doing the same dish at half the price

A very well kept secret on rue Verneuil. Great wine list. The brothers Robert and Freddy Vifian do a good job. The goose dumplings and the preparation of the beef fillet in a sauce is wonderful

We have been going to this restaurant since the early 1990’s. The Vifian family has managed it very well. Food is consistently excellent. Robert Vifian used to taste for the wine spectator and their cellar is incredible. While they took cash only for many years they now accept visa and Mastercard. Nicely positioned behind the musée Dorsey. Don’t miss out

We like the restaurant, the food and the owners !!!!!

I’ven been several times over the years. Food is always spot on, ambiance has never been their forte, and service was once charming, this time a bit underwhelming. Maybe it was a slow day. I’d definitely give it another go.

Wonderful dishes. Very good service. A bit overpriced.

Overpriced average Vietnamese food. I understand that people go there for the good value fantastic wine list , but it is still a restaurant, not a wine bar. 29€ for a ridiculously small overcooked chicken dish , consisting of 2 little chicken skewers ( probably barely 100g on chicken) , rice not included ... please . Unless you are going there for the wine list, forget it

Just an amazing lunch and history of wines from Freddie. His brother Robert is just as knowledgeable. A treat to have Vietnamese food and drink the quality of wines on the list. A secret for so many in Paris but for wine lovers a must

Excellent food and an extraordinary wine list.

Tan Dihn is old school Indochina. Very understated, slow paced and traditional. It's all very good. NB: There are 2 wine lists one on the food menu one separate with some of the finest (and most expensive) wines in Paris.

I do hope to return as soon as possible !

Delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine and fine wines in this family-owned restaurant in a quiet street in St Germain. The setting could do with some updating but a lovely evening anyway...

I have been coming to this restaurant for probably 20 years and the food is always great and consistent . It is southwest Asian food. The owners are fluent in French and English. The wine list is spectacular. They both taste for the wine spectator They had one Michelin star but did not want to play the game. That does not change anything. Great place
