I visited Tankard few times and always find it a good option, but this time I was very disappointed. While the service remains kind and warm and the setting has not changed, the level of food was far below expectations. we had fried mozzarella and 2 traditional pizzas, The mozzarella was very uninspiring, it gave the idea of a frozen supermarket product and the pizzas were even worse. Although the garnish was rich, the dough was too thin and at the same time not crisp, and on top of that the Parma ham was cooked with the pizza rather than added after the oven. I hope it was just a bad day in the kitchen!

The pizzas were excellent, huge choice and very well cooked. Note excellent gluten free choice. Service was great, especially as it was last day of the school year and there were masses of noisy, but very happy school children. Hence the low score on ambience! But fantastic value for money especially with The Fork discount. Thank you

we found this place by looking at the Fork reviews and it did not disappoint ~ it was my best pizza of my vacation (rome, florence and perugia) and my husband loved is calzoni. our waitress Rowena was so nice and patient with all our questions!

The food is very good, the hamburguer was amaaazing, and most importantly for us in particular, it had a lot of gluten free options. They are very well prepared and the staff was really kind.

The restaurant is tucked away and a little gem, a huge range of pizza for every taste and the staff were exceptionally understanding of our car breakdown in fitting us in. Can’t recommend enough.

This is my thord visit to Tankard and the restaurant has confirmed its good rating, with good food and service. However, this time I was disappointed to notice, after I left, that the 20% discount linked to The Fork booking was incorrectly applied: not a great loss but it left a bitter aftertaste.

This is my second time to Tankard and the restaurant confirmed the good impression of my previous vistt. This time I chose the traditional pizza rather than the pinsa and I was not disappointed. The service remains one of the strength of the restaurant: even with different waiters, the standard was once again very high.

Tankard is a good restaurant very close to the historical centre of Perugia, conveniently located in proximity of the main bus station. The ambiance is nice and clean, the choice of food variegated enough within the range of "informal cuisine". The service is very warm, caring and kind.
