6/10Although booked in advance we felt that we were “stuck” with the non-locals. Very average service, very average food ( had to ask for olive oil etc) Quality of lamb chops was below average.. very thin and anaemic with no flavour. Chips were frozen, nothing authentic about the meal I could go on but why bother… Basically Below Average with above average price. Disappointed

10/10This is our second visit to Tasca do Celsa and hopefully not the last. Absolutely everything about it is delightful. It was our wedding anniversary and we were made to feel very special. Amazing food the best lamb chops ever also recommend the octopus salad.

10/10From the service to the food to the ambience, Tasca do Celso was first-rate. For context, we visited the restaurant on our way to Lagos after a week in Lisbon. All members of my party agreed that the food was the culinary highlight of our vacation. Super fresh ingredients, a charming dining space, and attentive and accommodating staff. Highly recommend!

10/10This is our second time at this restaurant. We visited last year and enjoyed it so much that it was a good reason to come back to Vila Nova de Milfontes. It was just as good this time. Wonderful food, excellent service and a comprehensive wine list. A perfect evening.

10/10The perfect spot after a long day of hiking! The tenderloin (and accompaniments) was absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive, and the atmosphere lovely. Top 2 meals of our whole trip so far!

9.5/10We were suggested both menu and wines by the staff, which was friendly and timely and humorous.. We were offers a mixed grill with various meats and an add on of lamb cutlets. A very nice full bodied Alentejo red went as perfect company. This is my 5 lunch here , plus two dinners , same impression every time

7/10Food and ambiance were great and the restaurant lived up to the hype from friends. However considering the price point for this upscale establishment it seems a little tacky to me that they would charge for bread and (still) water. Surely those hard costs are easily captured in the higher price points. As well, and most disappointing was the cleaver trick the waiter pulled. My wife ordered a single glass of house wine. He informed her the white wine she ordered “wasn’t chilled” so he recommended another vintner label. She naively agreed. however, when the bill arrived it was ‘conveniently’ twice the price point (about the cost of a good quality ‘bottle’ of wine in Portugal. When I questioned this indiscretion, the waiter displayed far too much attitude before reluctantly agreeing to match the price point of the glass originally ordered. It’s unfortunate that this one apparent crafty act to upsell left such a bad taste in our mouth for this restaurant.

10/10Best restaurant ever. Seriously. The waiter and waitress were very professional and friendly. The waiter let us sample wines. It was a very nice atmosphere. You know that it is a good place when everyone is relaxed and are not cautious about what they say and do. The decor, food, wine and service are second to none. The price is amazing for what it is. We dined here 3 times in 2 weeks in Vile Nova de Milfontes. Everything we went to another restaurant, we decided that the next meal would be here as nothing really can up to the same all around standard.
