We chose this place because of the great reviews and WOW, they were not lying! The lady who serves is really kind, and the decoration is fresh and modern. But the food…. Amazing. We had the fried shrimps as a starter, full of flavour. The real star of the show was our main course, the filet mignon. Cooked to perfection and so soft it melted on your tongue. For dessert we had the tonka beans creme brulee and brownie with popcorn. Everything tasted as if it was cooked with passion, and we in fact are here again tonight (just like yesterday) while I am writing this, for the last meal of our vacation.

My partner and I both agreed it was the best steak we’ve ever had! So smooth and cooked absolutely perfectly! Also the home made bread was really tasty and everything was presented beautifully! If we lived here we’d go back all the time!

Very nice arranged dishes, with very nicely balanced seasoning. Starter we had prawns and a bruschetta dish, this was very good, as a main rump steak which was of very high quality meat, and to finish we had brownies with caramel ice cream. Therese were very delicious too, not to sweet. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had an excellent diner.

Food and service was excellent. First time in Portugal and we were guided by the server on what their specialties were. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant

I was underwhelmed by the limited menu. My steak was cooked past the medium rare I ordered and hers was rare when she ordered medium. Mine was over salted. Dessert was great and service was excellent.

Ricardo was great at welcoming us to Tasca’Lado and was at hand with any query we had about the menu. You can see that a lot of care and attention was put into the preparation of the cocktails and food. Everything was delicious and impeccable 👌

The host was very friendly and the service very quick. We really enjoyed our meal and drinks while people watching outside. The food was very traditional and delicious!

From arrival to departure one of the best experiences I’ve had in Portugal !! As a fellow Portuguese currently living abroad I enjoy bringing my children to places to get to know Portugal and its people and this did not disappoint. The food is absolutely amazing no complains at all …. The ambience perfect I truly recommend the passion fruit sangria. But the best part of the night was the staff what an amazing individual we did not get his name but know he has lived in England previously the way he interacted with my children especially my boy was amazing well done Tasca’Lado we will always come back.

Excelent service, everyone always with great smiles and very accommodating. Not a single thing bad food-wise. Lots of options to share, and I guarantee you will not leave with an empty stomach. Couvert, entrees, full plates or desserts, there is absolutely no wrong. I’d die for a plate of shrimp of theirs. Being a small place, it begs for prior reservation, especially Thursday throughout the weekend, but it does not leave to anything to be desired. It has a Portuguese feel while still looking modern and accessible. There aren’t much of these kinds of restaurants around here, and that’s a good thing, it makes this one that much special. They speak English, a bit of Spanish and I heard one of them speak un petit peu de français. If any of this doesn’t get you to go there, know this, in one week we went there twice, and we’d go again. The attention and service from Ricardo is worth the price of admission. Great recommendations for drinks and food. Wonderful attention to detail. Presentation of dishes was beautiful. A really happy and enjoyable and relaxed evening.
