10/10A few steps off a busy corridor makes so much difference in Rome! Taverna Agape is on a small quiet piazza with mostly local, light foot traffic. We sat outside under a shady awning. Beautiful menu. I had the most succulent roast pork. Friendly, attentive service. Highly recommend!

10/10Outstanding fish dishes. We had oysters, baccala and branzino. All superbly fresh and delicious. Pasta with wild board was also very good as were desserts. Large wine list, lots of choices. Reasonable prices, great service, slightly off the beaten path. Will absolutely return, and as soon as possible.

8/10As soon as the server realized we were tourists he took our menus from us and started giving us two choices of things and talking very quickly which caused us confusion (especially having jet leg) and had us agreeing to things we normally wouldn’t . He upsold us on the most expensive things on the menu without telling us prices and tried to get us to buy a €140 bottle of wine. I then asked for around €30 and he convinced us to go to €40. Maybe we are too polite because we are from Canada but we felt taken advantage of. Luckily everything was absolutely delicious so it made up for most of it. Also the server was overall attentive and charming. Others who are more assertive may have less of an issue. The atmosphere was great.

10/10Wonderful restaurant with outside seating in a quiet piazza. Close to Piazza Navona, but it felt world's away from the tourist crowds. Our server was charming, the food was very very good and the atmosphere was wonderful. One of our favorite eating experiences in Italy.

9/10We arrived at 6:30 for our reservation and we were seated quickly. Carlos was our waiter and he was fun, efficient and very helpful with the menu suggestions. The food was very good and we would eat here again

10/10This restaurant was perfect to celebrate in a smaller and more pleasant circle my birthday. the waiter was very kind and sociable, sharing with us his impressions about the food, as well as his recommendations were highly appreciated by the people at the table, our fault being mainly based on his recommendations.

10/10Had a lovely meal here on Valentines night. We decide on the Taverna Agape as it was only a 10 min walk from our hotel and it was a great choice. Set in a really cute little square away from the hustle and bustle which is just what we like. The waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was great. The food & wine were top notch, my husband was raving about his steak, cooked to perfection and served with shaved fresh truffle! We both loved the mashed potato served with our main courses too! Very good value and I’d highly recommend.

10/10Wonderful restaurant at a calm square in central Rome. Wine from a local winery. Exceptionally nice and helpfull stuff. Fresh food, apart from a la carte menu they had extra dishes since they har fresh tuna and fresh mushrooms this day. Very good prices too. I will come back!
