5/10The place looked nice from the outside so we were excited, but the tortelli had an off-putting funk (and no sign or taste of pancetta?) and the monkfish pasta was just okay.

10/10We saw great ratings and reviews before getting a reservation at this restaurant in Venice. Turned out everyone was right - great place. My wife and I loved our food and the staff and the whole feel there.

6.5/10The chateaubriand was overcooked. We realized forward to it. And the squid and polenta was extremely salty. The pasta and appetizers were good.

5/10Despite requesting an inside seat, they initially tried to give us an outside seat and took some time before finally giving us an inside seat. Later, we noticed that all families with children were placed in the inside corners. We ordered a half bottle of wine, but they came back and asked if we would drink a full bottle as they only had bottles. Reluctantly, we ordered two glasses, but they didn’t even serve the standard 125ml, and the price was almost the same as a half bottle. The food was just average. We visited to dine before a performance at La Fenice, but it was a bad experience.

5/10The food was good, perhaps slightly above average. The service was horrendous, starting with the waiter that came to our table and didn’t say a word and just held his pad out, waiting for us to say something. No greeting, no introduction, nothing. Next was we waited 45 minutes for two simple pasta dishes. That might not be so bad in a true fine dining experience, but in that 45 minutes, not a single person approached our table for anything. we were served some hard cold plain breads at the beginning of the meal, and had to ask for some olive oil or balsamic or something. My wife needed to use the restroom and it was absolutely filthy. That never makes you feel good about the food. The topper was the bill. Not only was the pasta extremely overpriced, but they added a surprise 10% service charge to the bill, which I do not recall seeing anywhere on the menu. Regardless, that’s just a bait and switch on menu prices. Just raise your prices so I know that I’m paying €30 for a simple pasta. Never again….

10/10Easy to find. Nice and quiet area with not lots of foot traffic. Could easily have a conversation during your meal. A little interesting history with a secret backdoor that staff will show you upon request. Excellent food, experience and service. Highly recommend it. 5 star.. I'd Give 6 if I could.

10/10The location is amazing, hidden in a beautiful little square aside from tourists, in one of the oldest buildings of Venice, perfect service and very good choice of wines. Highly recommend.

2/10The Fork booked us for a reservation at 4:30, the restaurant doesn’t open until 6pm. The restaurant told us that the Fork keeps Doing this, despite their communication with them.

10/10Beautiful relaxing restaurant with delicious food and meticulous service. All of the staff is professional and friendly. We had a wonderful meal and I highly recommend. Even good recommendations when we were undecided. The price is above average but great value.

4.5/10Reservation for 2 but my partner was ill so I was alone. Placed at a very awkward table. I was not able to enjoy the Christmas dinner because it was for 2 people and I was one. My hotel told me I would get a discount--I didn't get it. Food very ordinary. Very very expensive. Not recommended

7.5/10After a long day of exploring, we were starving and was recommended this Restaurant so I booked 10 mins before via google and the waiter tried telling me I did not make reservation and was very rude about it. Then aggressively made our table. Not the friendliest group of waiters. Food was good and restaurant was nice.

6/10Excellent location and settings, the food was also good with a nice selection of food and wines. Unfortunately the service was terrible, we order a spritz and a cocktail with the starter and we never got them. Every thing that was going through the bar took literally hours. Than at one point the barman stopped working.

8.5/10This is a nice restaurant near the Theater. Outside seating is wonderful. Food was good. We enjoyed the restaurant. The dessert was a little disappointing but they have a nice seating area for drinks. After dinner we enjoyed excellent bar prepared cocktails in the evening.

10/10What a great find in Venice! A high-end restaurant on a quiet square right by a historical theatre, with historical-feeling decor to match. The outdoor seating on the square is gorgeous and was just the perfect al fresco meal for us Venice visitors. The menu was abundant with choices, and we enjoyed prosecco, the eggs + asparagus, mushroom pasta, Venetian risotto, and more. We would've stayed longer for dessert and a cocktail but it began to rain. The service was impeccable. Do make a reservation and stop here when in Venice!

10/10The food was divine and the staff were amazing. They congratulated me and my wife on our pregnancy and even gave us an extra treat at the end of the night to wish us good luck, and because one of their wives was also pregnant. Definitely book ahead to get a seat outside, but 10/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to come back again!

10/10We booked this for a high quality meal before the opera at Palazzo Barbarigo. We were delighted. We both chose fish (salmon and cod). Both were perfectly (ie lightly) cooked, with delicious accompanying flavours and beautifully presented. High end cooking with quality ingredients. Service was efficient and discreet. We are early 6.00pm - 7.00pm so the restaurant was quiet.

2.5/10Very overpriced food - €38 euro for lobster pasta in a completely forgettable sauce and tough fish. Service was patronising, slow and wrong information given. Music was strange and loud. Was supposed to be a special meal. Very disappointing.

2/10Please note I fix a table for 15.30 hrs ,I checked also the official site of the restaurant that it is open from noon till late and finally when arrive 15.30 they told me that restaurant will be open 19:00 hrs . I totally disappointed .

9.5/10Professional and friendly service. Food and wine very good, although more expensive than other restaurants in Venice. A pity that two of the antipasto dishes were risotto which had to be ordered by two people.

5/10I have dinner to this restaurant every time I am in town. I found the quality of the food is going down, and the service getting worse and worse. As for the food, eg, the dessert (semifreddo) was melting, sign it was out for a while before they served it for us. As for the service, they first wanted us to sit in a corner table (just because we were with kids) and then when asking for a good wine, their answer was ‘how much you want to spend?’ Which well… let’s say did not expect for a restaurant of this class

5.5/10There are far better restaurants in Venice. Apart from the lovely setting of the terrace, most dishes were only ok. The antipasti were the best part of the meal. The potato moose was amazing and the nettle flan very rich and tasty. The pasta and beef were only ok and the price pretty steep.

10/10Wonderful, fun dinner experience. Menu selection, unique plates, and food were all outstanding. Great atmosphere, ambience, and music. Wonderful staff, they pulled off the perfect combination of professional while also friendly and caring. Violet potatoes and green cannellonis were our favorites; everything was special and delicious.

8/10This was our second time at La Taverna. The food is always great, and so are the service and the decoration. But there were 2 mistakes made for dessert, announcing desserts that ended up not being available, and another mistake on the bill with one of these desserts included.... Not a big deal in the end but we've been here before and we know the high standards of this establishment, we hoped for better.

10/10We had a lovely table outdoors in a small, quiet square. Wonderful service and food. We enjoyed pasta with truffles, veal rossini and turbot.
