Great typical Italian food of high quality. The owner & staff make you very welcome. So much so, this was our second visit to Taverna Picado. Although the restaurant is a 15 minute ride from the Desenzano area, inland , it’s position high up in the village of Polpenazze means that a table on the roof terrace has views across Lago di Garda to Sirmione. So it’s worth requesting a table on the roof terrace to make the most of the views. Surrounded mainly by locals, we realised we had found a gem! Food quality was high, wine list affordable yet good & menu focussing on quality rather than quantity of dishes - is always a good sign. Make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended.
