8.5/10Service was great, very warm and accommodating. Food was excellent, we really enjoyed it. My pork shoulder was delicious but a bit too much beetroot sauce, I didn’t add it all to what I ate. Great flavour combinations though. Also had duck breast with potatoes. Again, great flavour profile and some interesting notes coming through. I’d have added a twist more salt, but that’s just me. Dessert was tremendous, brownie with raspberry, caramel and some kind of mascarpone. Perfectly balanced and not too heavy. Would recommend to anyone who would listen 🫶

10/10Great place, nice decoration. Nice view. Nice staff. Great value for the lunch menu with bread soup main plate and drink included for just 14eur. Good plates of different food with a creative touch. Nice presentation. Timely service. Great facilities. Great place. Will return when in Coimbra.

10/10We booked a table in celebration of my birthday and despite requesting an inside table, the staff recommended an outside one with views and blankets to keep us warm. Our waitress recommended we share the mushroom trilogy starter, so we did and the portion was great. My wife chose the duck and I had the fillet steak, both excellent. My really enjoyed the vegetables on the purée. Our meal finished with sharing two desserts. Great evening , excellent food and good service.

8.5/10The food at Terraço da Alta is excellent. And the setting is lovely with a wonderful view over Coimbra. The service was not bad and our server was very friendly. But I expected it to be a little more attentive for a restaurant of that rating. Also, our starters came out at different times, which was ok as we wound up sharing them. But otherwise that would not have been a good experience.

9.5/10An absolutely lovely location on a terrace high above Coimbra. We were treated to a wonderful sunset, after a very hot day. The welcome from the maitre d’ was friendly and engaging. The food and wines were totally delicious, and extremely well priced for the quality and presentation. Comments have been made by other guests that all the food arrived very quickly, and the only fault we experienced was a repeat of this - we would have scored the restaurant 10 but having made it clear we were not in a hurry the main course arrived before we had finished our starters. So easy to fix…..please do because everything else was excellent. Tip - if you’re staying at the bottom of the hill in the city, this restaurant can be reached using two elevators that are just past the municipal market!

5.5/10it was a friend recommendation. expectations where high, the two main dishes that we initially chose were not available (duck and suckling pig), we opted for beef tartar and the pork cheeks. the first was chewy which is unacceptable for beef tartar, it even had some silver-lining. pork cheeks were ok, above average. overall disappointing for the hype the restaurant has. service was not rude but they could improve

The ambient was very calm but too dark. It took about 10min to get some water and the cot fish came with spikes. Was not pleasent. The waitress was a bit rough and served quite small portions of wine (only one sip to be honest)

Amazing steak, good tuna steak, burrata and ceviche were very good. The sides were not what we thought they were, the menu said rustic potatoes but they were just French fries and the grilled vegetables were more so chopped and sautéed but everything was still very very good.

5/10We ordered the meat medium. It was delivered rare and with to much grease, We could only eat 50% meat of the piece delivered! And since it was not warm enough we had to send it out to be heated. As a compensation we were offered dessert Chocolate cake, we got ’something’ else made the day before or a couple of days before! So NO we do not recommend ’Terraco da Alta’ choose another restaurant for your dinner!

7/10Lovely views from the restaurant and the inside is nice . We had starters which were veal with pickles and chicken leg with satay sauce ....both lovely . We had the Rib eye for two which was nicely presented but very gristley and tough plus the chimi churri sauce was very poor . Overall ....disappointing

10/10Such a beautiful view and incridible environment. The food was delicious, and not expensive at all, taking into account the location and service. The waitress which assisted us was one of the nicest people ever. Highly recommend.

Worth a visit for sure! Tasty food, excellent cocoktails and the lovely view is the cherry on top of the cake for your experience. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff :)

2.5/10Expensive and mediocre food which took almost 1 hour to arrive. To make it worse we found a bit of plastic in the sauce of one of the plates. The staff was not sorry and definitely not helpful. We do not recommend this restaurant at all

We both had vegetarian meals. My husband had a curry which was nice. The food was well presented but my daal meal was lacking in spices/salt so was rather bland. The portion size was also small.
