5.5/10It was good, but not what’s expected from a Michelin recommended restaurant. The point of view of the chef is confusing and out of 8+ courses, I’d say 2 were a true success. Might have been an off night? The service was prompt and kind, and was likely the best part of the meal. The space itself feels below the cuisine, even with the understanding that I didn’t much care for the cuisine.

9.5/10Good and tasty food plus creative arrangement on the plate including amuse bouche at the very beginning and sweets at the very end. But it is difficult to find the right door to get in and moreover the door is locked.

10/10A great restaurant with perfect ambient. All the Services are well and friendly. The menu is designed pretty, one menu with 5 courses can taste a variety of food and the quality is really fitted.

10/10What an absolutely fantastic experience. Terroir of offers surprise tasting menus, we went for the 5 course menu which exceeded expectations. The service was impeccable and the staff were attentive but not intrusive, they were knowledgeable and explained every dish as they brought it to our table. Having eaten in fine dining restaurants around the world inc many with Michelin stars, Terroir ranks alongside them and I’m sure will have its first star in the near future.

10/10Everything was immaculately done and the concept just works. The team recommended some brilliant wines to go with the food choices, and that made it super special and it’s good to try new things! Would definitely recommend as the flavours were outstanding!

10/10We really enjoyed our experience here. The eight moment menu with wine pairing was a really fun way to try new foods along with Portuguese wines. Overall this was absolutely worth it.

8.5/10We enjoyed the 8-course (or “moment”) tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was exquisitely presented — each dish was like a little jewel box. The portions were small (as it was a tasting menu), but we were full by the time we left. We enjoyed the meals — each one was very complex and different. The wine pairings left us a little cold — we were served two white wines (liked the second); three red wines (the last one was the only one we enjoyed), and the Madeira with dessert was good. The service was good, although at this price point, it could have been a little more attentive (water glasses not filled, some empty glasses left on the table during a course). Atmosphere is fine — they are doing their best with a fairly plain interior.

9.5/10Amazing service, and delicious food. I had to reschedule my reservation, the staff were very happy to help. Once at the restaurant, we were greeted and helped promptly. We did the 8 course menu, and every dish was delicious. Our waitress explainwd on what consisted every dish. Overall, very happy with the service and the food. Will come back when visit aportigal again.

9.5/10Went with my sister to have a modern Portuguese meal and I would say the food was great but didn't fully get the Portuguese feel in it. The service was great and really nice setting. We had the eight courses and it was just the right amount of tasty dishes!

5/10First… before you book this spot, make sure to read some of the lower reviews! It’s definitely a different, unique set of dishes from everything else we tried so far, but we had really high expectations for a Michelin list restaurant. Service was two stars , they were still friendly but really short with us and didn’t really care about explaining the dishes or giving us a personal experience. Food is nice but at the price point you are paying for a 2 hr dinner—we were disappointed. Some dishes were very creative but again, we had high expectations and felt like it was lack luster when we took a bite. Lots of missed opportunities in how dishes were presented and even the temperatures and textures. Highlights were some umami flavors in a few of the dishes and that the desserts were really good. But I won’t be recommending this restaurant to friends. Best to try something else for this price point!

9.5/10Michelin 1 star quality. An excellent 1997 wine with main course. Decent value. We had the 5 course service with wine pairings, quantities and quality very acceptable. My only low mark was with the bread, which was served with shaved cured tuna, too salty and the fish didn’t come out in the flavor. But all in all, an excellent meal. I recommend the this star quality restaurant.

4.5/10This was a complete let down. Let’s be clear by what I mean here: was the food tasty? Was there legitimate creative work put into the flavours? Was it clean? Was the service fast? Yes to all these answers. But come on, we are talking about a Michelin restaurant, with “Michelin restaurant” prices. We picked this restaurant largely based on the guide and expected better. The price should also result in something better than what it was. We were so excited to try this but, in short, I suggest that you try one of the other many tasty (and starred) restaurants in this city. Skip this one - not worth your limited time in Lisboa. Want more details? Here it goes (and keep it mind that I am being very detailed and that there is a high bar in this city considering other Michelin and other restaurants that I had the pleasure to try) so the amount of details may seem very harsh but I am trying to be informative as much as possible): - staff barely spoke English which made it difficult to understand anything really and made conversations about options fee short and rushed - owner/manager should think about a way around that; - we did not even get a real understanding of the menu or the dishes we were eating, communication during service being limited to being told the 2-3 main ingredients and “enjoy” - there was little warmth in service and it felt bizarre, almost like plates were pushed on us for us to eat, then removed and changed, repeat; - The restaurant was at maybe 10-20% capacity (rough estimate), with only 4 tables (including ours) with guests, for a total of 8. You could hear a pen drop. There may have been some music, but very faint - I don’t remember but basically no atmosphere at all; - right away, we were suggested to have a glass of champagne - I was about to say yes but then noticed that it was served from a branded cart and in branded glasses which means, to me, that the restaurant is in the promo business rather than the service/food and beverage business, so we declined and took a bottle of wine which was excellent; - The bread dish was very salty and lacked balance. On top of that, two other dishes were crazy salty, to the point where we would feel the urge to drink immediately to chase the unpleasant taste - it was not the overall dish, but rather clusters of salt that were very agressive in the mouth; - Very interesting flavours but very small dishes; for the price, a second slice of boar or fish in the two mains would not be too much to ask; - The nail in the coffin for us was that our waiter, when we asked on which course we were on and upon them confirming that the two remaining courses were dessert, sort of mumbled “there is coffee with dessert, do you want regular coffee or decaf?” We were a bit confused and thought this was part of the courses - again, the lack of English proficiency and the lack of explanations regarding the menu were absolutely not helping - and we confirmed regular coffee. What we were presented with is two NESPRESSO black coffees in NESPRESSO cups and with a NESPRESSO sugar packet next to it (another sponsor!). And they charged €3 per cup!!! Had this been a real espresso, we would not have cared about the mix-up but the fact that a restaurant presenting itself as delivering real, quality food, serves capsuled, manufactured coffee and has the audacity of taking a steep margin on it… very disappointing. So there you go: If you want to try it and you have many euros to spare, you will be presented with interesting flavours and dishes, although small and not perfectly executed, but if you are trying to eat really well with a short amount of time in Lisbon and want better value, skip it!

8/10The place was quite pretty, with ambient light and contemporary decoration. The food was okay, the taste was a bit out of balance. At some point the garniture was too salty and the sauce was too bland, or the first too bland and the latter to salty/sweet, or both too much, hence not that harmonious. I honestly think that it was quite pricy given the food. Although it’s not Michelin starred, I was expecting better quality. However, the service was fantastic.

10/10One of the best restaurants I've been to! We ordered the 8 moments menu with a pairing. While the starters and the bread "moment" at the beginning were decent, we weren't too impressed. However, when the official moments and pairings started, the presentation, flavors, and ideas behind each dish got better and better each time. And admirably, you could tell that there was authentic Portuguese history behind the concepts, but the plates were constructed with a modern perspective. Finally, the wine pairings were overall impressive - each choice complemented the plate in mind perfectly. We were very content with our overall experience, and I would love to go back another time to try more dishes!

5.5/10Nice food and location. Service was really bad. We got the main course as last, the desert as second last, because they forgot one of our courses. In a restaurant of this class and price level (230 Euros!), something like this should not happen. All in all, rather disappointed. When confronting them, their reaction was unprofessional.

10/10We have been to several Michelin rated restaurants on our current trip to Europe that have exceeded our expectations. Terroir, while not in the most opulent location, has provided the most enjoyable dining experience. The food was exceptional and imaginative, the wine selections were on point, and the service was top notch. It holds its own against the other top restaurants in Lisbon. Put it on your short list.
