This restaurant served, without question, some of the best Thai Food and Sushi that we have eaten anywhere in the world! In fact, I'd be as bold as to say, the BEST sushi I've ever had. It was outstandingly fresh, perfectly prepared, the flavour pairings were like something you'd expect in a high end restaurant in Soho, London. It was utterly exceptional. My husband had a red Thai curry, which he said was the best he'd ever eaten. My eldest son had a king prawn dish with rice that he said, couldn't have been any better. The staff were brilliantly attentive, the food was piping hot and came quickly - I would recommend absolutely everything about this restaurant. I would say, don't be put off by the modest exterior, as inside the restaurant is spotlessly clean, comfortable and authentic. We will, without question, be returning often!!!!

the fish cakes were really bad the Thai green curry wasn't a Thai green curry

We dined here over new year nd food was great but tonight didn’t seem as tasty too much courgette and aubergine in green curry and wasn’t as spicy Pad Thai seemed a little bland too Certainly not as good as last visit sadly

What a welcome surprise. We had previously visited this as Sushi Ya and not been disappointed but were hesitant to revisit. However we were so pleased we had, I can honestly say I enjoyed the best Thai food I've ever experienced (im no expert on Thai) I had the Green Curry and it was outstanding. The service was excellent, attentive but not over bearing and very knowledgeable, our waiter even checked the depths of "hot" we wanted. My medium hot Curry seemed much hotter than my wife's "Hot as you like" Pad Prow Grapow, I guess its a personal thing. In summary we will definitely be back, prices were also very fair.

The menu has a big selection of Japanese and Thai and everything we ordered was excellent. Good for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Great value for the quality too. Maybe another wine option by the glass would be good but couldn’t fault it.

+5We had a wonderful dining experience at Thai & Maki. The restaurant was spotless and welcoming, and the service was prompt, polite, and professional throughout. I visited with my wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law — all of whom are well-travelled and know authentic Asian cuisine — and they all agreed this was the best and most authentic Thai food they’ve had outside of Singapore and Thailand. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. The Fork discount made it even more better value for money. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Staff with personalities, great choices on an extensive menu. superb food, the other diners were complimentary too. Definitely a place to return to.
