We went to Storyteller’s for my wife’s birthday. Overlooking São Martinho do Porto’s bay proviides a peaceful and romantic setting. The food was absolutely delightful. We shared the carpaccio de polvo starter; so good we both wished we had a full serving. Our main course (lamb tenderloin and pork loin in blackberry sauce) were excellent. The rhubarb desert was a very tasty compliment to one of the finest dining experiences we’ve had in years. The waiter, Abel, was very cordial and attentive. He did not hesitate to make recommendations while never being overbearing. He, and the head chef, were very careful to make sure my wife’s dietary restrictions were met - that’s often a sign of a superb restaurant; the ability to customize the menu at point of preparation. The maitre de was jovial and made us feel like special guests. I really cannot think of one thing to detract from my 5 star rating. We spent just under 100€ - high by Portuguese standards. But it was worth it! Excellent!

From the moment we step foot in the building, we were treated excellently. Our (own) waiter told us some recommendations and he couldn’t have been more on point. We ordered the salmon ceviche, vitello tonnato and duck. Everything was presented with every detail in mind and with a lot of love. I also want to highlight the impeccable treatment of all the staff. Would definitely visit again when we come back!

Reading some articles beforehand had raised our expectations. The reality superseded those! Fabulous menu, highest quality ingredients, creative but not over the top presentation and all this taking place in a very cosy setting. The Green Room is a a culinary pearl at the central Portuguese coast. Our compliments to Marco and his team!
