Have eaten there since the beginning always enjoying the food. most recently the menu changed from different select meals each day to a more open menu of separate dishes. At first I missed the fixed plates but now i realize the owner/cook Diana has out done herself. Each individual dish is superb and once one finds the ones you like best 3 individual dishes become a great meal shared by 2 or three people.

Always a comfortable ambiance and good food with friendly service. . Great one plate, light veg meals with a variety of unusual flavors harmoniously blended.

The food was incredible! As a vegan with Surinamese heritage, it was amazing to be able to eat foods from my youth again. You could tell everything was made with love. The sate and the ribs were my favourites.

A wonderful place for all! You have to try it, especially if you are not vegetarian/vegan because they really nailed every flavour. It's so nice to find a restaurant who Is following a clear idea and Is not compromising. The menù Is compact, but Who needs more? Must try: homemade hibiscus tea, tart and refreshing!

Great food! It was the first time in a Surinamese restaurant and I loved it

The ambience was nice! But we waited for 1 hour and 5 minutes and did not even get drinks by then.

What a wonderful and lovely little restaurant with amazing Surinam dishes. Diana and her team are absolutely the hosts you want for an informal evening with nothing but great food. We ordered many tiny bites, because it all looked so good and we couldn’t choose! The tempeh sateh oh my and the pom balls, the roti well I can go on and on!!! Wanted to go for a long time, but my next visit won’t take that long. See you soon!!!

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere!

As a Dutch person I think I know Surinam food, but in the old Soul we had a very new experience. No meat- but we did not miss it a bit, and all ingredients were so fresh, and the food was prepared and served with so much love. This is why I recommend the Olfd Soul to everybody

The staff worked with me to 3nsue that I was not exposed to allergens - they were very knowledgeable (and their English was very good).

Interesting and challenging menu for one not familiar with surinamise food. Very good, very tasty new flavor and all vegan. Friendly service and the cook/owner Diana's efforts are well received and appreciated.
