10/10We had an amazing and flawless experience from start to finish. The ambiance was quite elegant and inviting, the dishes are beautifully crafted with exceptional flavors, and the service was impeccable. Every detail, from the presentation to the attentive staff, makes this a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly unforgettable meal in Matera.

Excellent food, some of it in the kind I never tasted before. This is one of these restaurants that the focus on local produce added to the experience and flavor. The service was lovely and the ambiance if eating under the streets of Matera complemented the experience all the more. Surprisingly, out of all the foods, we enjoyed the salad most, which speaks volumes in such a wonderful dinner. I would come back again!

+1Overall a really great experience. We had a starter, first and second course. The dishes were very tasty and creatively done. Presentation was nice and service very friendly. As we are note very proficient with Basilikata wines, we described which type of wine we wanted to have and got a perfect match. There was little to nothing to complain. Thanks for a great evening!

7/10We were sitted outside and it’s was fresh. With an outside heater, it would better for the experience. Also, the food was ok, not at the level rated by others guests.

10/10Found this from the reviews when looking for a special place for husband's birthday. What a find! Superb food, beautifully cooked and presented, with friendly and knowledgeable staff and a very relaxed unstuffy atmosphere. Excellent value too including wine pairings. Go if you can, you won't be disappointed.

10/10The restaurant setting in old Matera was excellent. Down 10 meters in a cave with plenty of space and ambient lights. Only 10-11 tables in total made the experience even more private. The tasting menu was so good! Well worth a visit. Highlt recommend!

The food and service here were excellent! If you want something other than pasta they have some fun options like the Indian Bao although the pasta is fantastic too. Try the ravioli!

10/10Interesting menu, creative dishes, such are ceviche style taco’s and imaginative desserts. Quite hard to find, down stairs from the main drag. Well worth a visit!!

10/10This restaurant, with unique decor and located in a cave below ground, exceeded our expectations. The service was fantastic and attentive. Amuse bouches were delivered at the start and end of the meal, allergens clearly marked on the menu, and gluten-free needs managed

+3Wow, wow, wow! A-ma-zing! Christmas Eve fixed price menu (we chose fish) and it was incredible! From the food, the staff, the service and the wine we could not have asked for more...beating many Michelin star restaurants we've been too!

10/10This is a wonderful restaurant. Very interesting and delicious presentation of dishes. Complex and creative combinations. The gazpacho was astonishingly good as was the beef tartare. The pork belly was a little too fatty for my taste but the flavor and sauce were great. Steak and potatoes also excellent.

10/10The products are amazing. The savoir-faire is evident. The creativity is astounding. That alone should make for a perfect dining experience. But Tierra doesn't stop there: the service is next level, and by that, I don't mean staff being able to serve you well and give good recommendations (they are). Tierra - with Roberta and Domenico steering the vessel - is a visceraly human experience if you wish to make it happen. As soon as we finished our first meal here, we knew we'd be back, and since we've been there a second time on our last night in the city, the only we can do is wholeheartedly recommend Tierra until we make it back to Matera. Thanks for a wonderful experience raggazzi(e) ????

4.5/10The ambiance inside was not bad, I’d say average. First impression - the staff were very friendly and welcoming, so, about that matter it is rather positive, yet I cannot say the same for the more important part, thus the food. Well, we tried the degustation menu and from the start to the end it was awfully tasteless. The ingredient combinations in the dishes were amateur, not balanced at all. And having in mind that for two it costed like 122euros(with bottle of water), I would never recommend it even for the half of the price. Lastly, I must notice again that the waitresses were very attentive and friendly, explaining from A to Z about the dish while serving - so professional. And that was the only good thing that I remember about this restaurant.

Beautiful fresh ceviche and the best gnocchi of our visit. The tomatoes and feta salad was fresh and tasty with the nice addition of anchovies. My friends were also very please with the pork bun and grilled fish. My husband avoid gluten and there were plenty of options for him. The service was pleasant, prompt and friendly.

10/10This has been our fifth visit and we have never been disappointed. The menu is creative and changes seasonally. The execution is impeccable. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations on the food and their well appointed wine selection. We will definitely return.

8/10Interesting and well cooked menu, service was awesome! I think the room needs a bit of work to make it more intimate but without losing the cool vibe. We were unlucky with the main course the duck had a tough membrane that affected the cooking I put it down to just bad luck as everything else was delicious. Thanks Tierra! Xx
