7.5/10Lovely place, very good food and wine. Nice staff. But under severe pressure due to understaffing which could be sensed and was apparent by service that was a bit slow and inattentive.

4.5/10Lovely setting, but that’s where it ended. Food was mediocre, service even worse. After initial drinks, never was able to get another. “Team” service model like many restaurants in Menton, but here no one had any accountability or seemed interested beyond filling tables. Asked us if we wanted desert, which we did, but never got a menu, so we went to another restaurant and had it there. Also the owner or manager was clearly sick and coughing nonstop— had no business being near any food or customers. So many great restaurants in Mentom, and we had amazing meals every where else the whole week— try somewhere else.

3/10Ran out of limoncello. Served us bread. Took it away within minutes. No soap in disgusting bathroom. Staff flustered and openly anxious. Horrible experience. Never go if you want Italian in menton. Gnocchi tastes like supermarket frozen brand.

10/10A Gem Between Sea and Old Town Charm Restaurant Tony in Menton is a true delight! Its location is unbeatable — nestled right between the sparkling sea and the colorful rooftops of the old town, it offers a picture-perfect setting for a relaxed and refined meal. The staff is incredibly professional and welcoming, effortlessly switching between at least 10 languages and managing the full terrace with genuine warmth and efficiency. It's rare to see such effortless hospitality. Drinks were spot on — my Campari Spritz tasted of Campari from the first sip to the last drop, perfectly balanced and refreshing. As for the food… it's impossible to highlight just one dish. Everything we tried was excellent — beef, fish, mutton — all prepared with finesse. The starters were equally impressive: zucchini flowers, burrata with tomatoes, and beef carpaccio, all served with attention to detail and perfect timing. Great views! Meat was overcooked but they were so happy to swap it out and it was delicious. Lovely staff. Unfortunately, they ran out of ice but overall I would highly recommend it!

7.5/10We ate here on the basis of the many good reviews and the staff were very welcoming and flexible when I asked to change my main course, having had my entrée. The location is nice, with views of the bay of Menton. However, we were not impressed with the food. A starter of deep fried courgettes had far too much ricotta in them and were served on a watery and bland gazpacho, so they quickly became soggy. Spaghetti with clams was tasty but rather dried out, as if it had been sitting around under one of those hot lamps that keep food warm for a bit too long. The gnocchi tasted like a cheap, shop bought brand with dehydrated potato and was served in a thin sauce. We expected food of a lot better quality for the price and left feeling that the good reviews were based on the setting and portion sizes rather than the quality of the cuisine.

10/10Starting with a warm greeting and prompt service, our evening at Tony’s was lovely. They had me with fried zucchini blossoms, and the ravioli with lemon and ricotta was also delicious. On a lovely warm night, the terrace overlooking the harbor was the place to be.

8/10Very nice welcome, the appetizers were really good. However the main courses were good but not like wow. My husband's steak was good but the night before at the Galetes et Galetes place, he had a better one. I ordered the pasta special of the day, which was also OK but not wow, my son had the fried calamari and he enjoyed his dish. Overall, it was a nice restaurant with a nice view but you can get very tasty food for less money on the rues.

Great food, great view, nice staff. We both had the lamb and started with the clam spaghetti, delicious. The panacotta with caramel sauce and the tiramisu limoncello were the best we have had. We will be back.

5/10We were 15 and 2 of us waited more than 1 hoir their main course. After the others has already eaten we were kindly asking from our waiter, is it possible to have some kind of compensation - for example another delayed main caourse free. She answered: ” yes, thats fine”. Then after few seconds: ”of course not, that was a ”joke”. After waiting the bill I was asking again if the compensation for delaed food. Server: ” If you do not pay I call police!” The owner was beside us snd I try to ask him what is hapoening . Owner: I don’ t spaek englidösj, call the police!” We were amazed of this rude service. So sad, food was great but the service was arrogant and even grazy. Finally - after long waiting time again - they gave us 6.5€ discount from 1000€ bill. No wonder the place was akmost empty without us.

10/10Lovely, central restaurant in the heart of the old city of Menton. Our waiter (Francisco?) was very attentive, efficient and friendly. Tried the seafood risotto and the lamb, both wonderful. The desserts were also delicious. Will come back!

10/10We had a great lunch at Tony and Tony himself was very charming :) The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a good range of dishes on the menu but not so many that it was overwhelming. The food was delicious; beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Our table with a view overlooked a little square and out across the sea. I definitely recommend Tony and will go back if I ever return to Menton

Deep fried overcooked veal was unpleasant . Fritto misto sea food good but needed something with it to accompany the deep fried battered fish . What a shame
