We were staying in the hotel and chose to eat there twice. Different choices each time, but every mouthful was mouthwateringly good. An especially mention for the scallops starter - divine! Service was efficient , friendly and neither too slow nor too hurried. A perfect evening.

This place is faster service than a fast food burger bar! We went for our last night in the melia Alicante expecting a relaxed evening and we arrived at 7.30 ordered the meal about 7.45, the starter came immediately and we only just put our forks down and the main course came. I was given sea bass but I’d ordered turbot but in all honesty that didn’t matter as it was only 7.10 - we would have been finished the whole meal in less than 35 minutes. I complained to the manager but he referred me to one of his staff who just said “what do you want me to do”. We didn’t eat the main course and left. We were charged for the starters and drinks and had no apology or explanation as to why the service in a supposedly quality restaurant was faster than a take away ! Absolutely dreadful end to a nice stay at the melia!

One waiter and the maitre d. We ended up pouring our own champagne even though only a few people in. The maitre d wasn’t expecting us having booked through Fork no great welcome although we are repeat guests at the Melia. The waiter tried his best, no fuss made of us no real effort made with us as British. We travel over several times a year. We probably won’t go back.
