8.5/10Nice, classy and quiet location. Service was really good a quick. The food was mostly really good as well but the little something to make it a unique and exquisite experience was missing. The finishing touch and creativity on the food isn't quite there yet.

4.5/10The food had elements that were tasty but was overall disappointing. The octopus itself was cooked reasonably well, but served on a bed of basically pumpkin pie filling, overly sweet, gluey, and with some undercooked greens on top. The sirloin steak had a lovely sauce but was tough and a very small portion. It then took us 70 minutes after we finished eating to get a check. No one stopped by, cleared our plates, asked about desert, etc. for 70 minutes. I eventually got up and followed the waiter around until he let me pay. Will not return.

10/10We were visiting from Florida, in the USA. Our home is well known for seafood so we were extremely pleased with our fish dinner. We started with a delicious goat cheese and honey appetizer. I had the Salmon which melted like butter. My husband had the Cod which had a wonderful topping. We ended the meal with a chocolate chaos that was rich and satisfying. The service was very attentive. This was our first meal in Portugal. We were so happy to have discovered it before leaving home. You do need a reservation as the room is not large.

5/10It’s overpriced. The food wasn’t that good. The eggs were watery, the pica pau didn’t had too much seasoning, the tornedó was really raw, the forgot to bring us butter and a cup for the water.

10/10The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the ambience was very special. it's on the 2nd story of an art gallery and depending on how you get there you may have to climb a crazy amount of steps, but it is more than worth it. Make a reservation. You won't regret it.

10/10Traste in Chiado is a gem of a restaurant that I can't recommend highly enough. From the moment you step into the space adorned with a thought-provoking exhibition on the 25th of April, to the impeccable service throughout, every aspect exceeded expectations. I started with a chilled melon soup, complemented by crisped ham and a hint of mint—a refreshing and delightfully light opener. The highlight was the Grilled Swordfish with Clam Sauce, which was simply divine. The fish itself was incredibly flavorful, perfectly grilled, and paired wonderfully with a sauce that transported you straight to the ocean depths. Dining alone was a pleasure as the atmosphere was both welcoming and serene. I wholeheartedly recommend Traste in Chiado and personally look forward to returning.

5/10The food is really nothing special. I had three dishes, only one of them worth talking about. The 'cream' of pea soup had very little cream and even less flavor. The pica pau beef was ok except for the amount of vinegar in the sauce The sauteed mushrooms were good. So that's 1/3 The ambience is nice but the head waiter could definitely use some lessons in how to make guests feel welcome. Won't be returning.

10/10This was our first time at Traste and was noticed disappointed. Service was great and the food was fantastic. We started off with some different starters, which were excellent. We had both the octopus and the cod loin for our mains. Excellent presentation and taste. Then as recommended by others, the chocolate raspberry dessert.

9.5/10I had the polvo. The octopus’ flavor is balanced with hint of curry. Not chewy. Excellent. My husband had the salmon. He enjoyed the crispy skin and moist salmon. We tried a green wine; the host recommended one from foral de moncao. Excellent. Beautiful meal to celebrate our 30+ wedding anniversary.

10/10I want to congratulate the entire staff, from the door to the table everything was absolutely impeccable. Gorgeous place, cozy ambiance, decoration, comfort and a great view. We were surprised with the 3 delicious options of bread, especially the red fruits one. We ordered shrimps and salmon sauté, perfect texture, presentation, very balanced between natural flavors and added spices. Main courses were Salmon, Tornedó and Vazia. All of them very impeccably preparated! My option, Tornedó, was so great I could have another one. The only point I'd recommend, is the temperature of the meat. Maybe due to the fact that it was a cold night, they all came quite colder than one would expect. But the overal experience was so great, that it was easy to ignore that tiny flow. Highly recommended, I'll definitely return many times with friends and family. Before you leave, DON'T forget to try their Brownie with Raspberry Ice Cream... That, ladies and gentlemen, was a proper dinner. Congratulations, Traste. Keep up the great work and quality.
