9.5/10Very accommodating with tasty food. Chef a beautifully presented the food and we appreciated the effort. The spot is a touch spartan, but beyond that and a lack of listing available house wine by the glass, it was a very pleasant experience.

8/10Very good restaurant but when I came the waiter didn’t pay much attention to my the form booking. I asked the same waiter why there is no discount and I said „the fork discount” he acted as he never hear it in his life. I thought I’m in wrong restaurant for the moment!!! He made me say my name like 3 times to confirm the booking 🤡 manager confirmed it on the fork and discount has been applied, the same older grey hair waiter had the audacity to ask if I want to tip when paying - of course not, you need to pay service charge copperto. Other than that it’s very elegant restaurant which breach cheap pizza in the best area of Naples.

10/10Loved the margherita pizza—best pizza we have ever had! Our port visit in Naples was complete because our goal was to try good pizza while in the birthplace of pizza! This restaurant is near the Castle so it was very easy to find. Read reviews before our trip & many people raved about this restaurant! Reasonably priced too!

6/10I would say it did not come up to our expectations, nothing too special, no personal touch. The waiter presented the desserts in the following way: "There is Baba and some lemon cake" and the "cake is nothing special"..quite weird in general.

2/10I had a 1:00 reservation, but after arriving, I had to wait 40 minutes for the food to come out. I ordered seafood pasta (mussels, lily, shrimp, tomato) in the first picture, but the waiter served mussel pasta (see the second picture). Mussels were separated from their shells. I wondered if the mussels from other people's food leftovers were peeled and put in. Because the mussel pasta I received was a food that could not be found on the restaurant's menu or Google Map review. When asked what the menu name was, he evaded the answer. He said he would make pasta again and took it away. However, the cook just added a few more clams to the pasta. It was very unpleasant service. The Margherita pizza was so watery that it was like porridge. The risotto was hard, like fried rice in oil. The waiter insisted on speaking Italian rather than English and was very unfriendly. The waiter was kind to the white people at the next table, but was so unkind to us that I wondered if it was racism. Recommend not to visit the restaurant that ruins your travel experience.

10/10This restaurant was such a gem. Staff was friendly, food was superb, they made excellent recommendations and we loved every bite. They suggested the cáprese and it was great! The mozzarella was so delicious. Next, I ordered the friend shrimp and squid plate and my husband ordered the fettuccina allá bolognese and it was fantastic. Lastly, we ordered the lemon cake for dessert and we loved it. They even brought out a shot of limoncello to have with the cake. We loved the experience.

9.5/10This restaurant was a wonderful surprise! The food was outstanding, and the service incredible. I had a Caprese salad with the freshest of tomatoes. My partner had a grilled fish, which the lovely head waiter brought to the table and filleted with care in front of us. Finally, I had tiramisu for dessert - also prepared in front of us by a charming waitress, ingredient by ingredient - and it was delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant, Trattoria Castel Nuevo. The music was rock favorites (perhaps more Italian traditional would be good to add). And lower, more romantic lighting would be a minor welcome change. Thank you for a fabulous dining experience!

9.5/10We had a wonderful dining experience at Castel Nuevo this evening. The food was outstanding and the wait staff were exemplary. I would highly recommend that if you are in Napoli you will enjoy the ambiance of this place. Kudos to Valerie for making the night a huge success.

10/10Fantastic restaurant that we’re sad to only have found on our last day. We had seafood as a starter and main and can certainly say food was fresh and delicious. Some dishes are constructed right at your table which we thought adds to the whole experience. Service was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a very good experience. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
