What a brilliant restaurant. Set in a quiet square, the atmosphere is charming. The waiting staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful throughout, answering our questions and making suggestions. The food is probably the best we’ve eaten - no joke. Every mouthful was a treat - we ate pate, tortellini , lasagnes , drank delicious wine and loved every moment. Honestly - the most lovely experience .

The food was delicious. However, I would’ve preferred a table outside. When I arrived, they said everything was booked. Yet, I saw them carry tables outside a short time later to accommodate more seating outside. I had expressed that it was my last night in Bologna and really wanted to sit outside. They said they couldn’t accommodate it. Also, inside the tables were very close together, and halfway through my dinner, a family was seated behind me, which made my dining experience, somewhat uncomfortable as I needed to be very close to the table to have them be able to sit.

Atmosphere was quint, staff was attentive, and the reveal of alley to small square was charming; felt secret!

Staff was almost comical, but also somewhat insulting. Would not listen to my name when I tried to tell them about my reservation through the fork. Then came and told us we must have reserved at a neighboring restaurant. I had to bring up my email confirmation. No apology-just walked away. A variety of strange assumptions and service errors and delays ensued and it really wasn’t that good. A pretty setting though.
