8/10This place truly felt like a local, mom and pop restaurant. We ordered two pastas, which were decent, the Florentine steak and the tripe. The stewed tripe with tomatoes and cheese was quite nice but I felt the steak wasn't anything to rave about. That being said, we aren't huge red meat eaters so that may have contributed to this response. For dessert, we ordered the chestnut pudding and the cheesecake. Both desserts were good.

9.5/10What a lovely friendly place. It feels like a real family run restaurant and the owners are so nice. Food is great as well. What more could you want?

8/10It was a nice meal but not much ambience, would prefer softer lighting . It is very bright but welcoming. Got one of the main course and did not realise it did not some with any sides or potatoes. Was nice but the waitress could have mentioned that we needed a side dish.

8.5/10The staff were friendly and polite. The gnocchi with pistachio pesto was delicious. Other highlights included very good tagliata with artichoke and grilled prawns, The restaurant is located on a seemingly quieter end of the street and was welcoming but not cosy; the restaurant interior was simply done, A minor point is that I felt that the lighting could have been a bit softer. But overall happy with our choice.

8/10This was a good Italian restaurant and a great place to go that is not a tourist trap. The food was delicious and there were other families dining there as well. I enjoyed the house wine they had, but as Americans we didn’t have ice for soft drinks. Not shocked by this as it is Europe but with other restaurants having it we would have preferred it. I had a pear and cheese filled pasta which was very tasty. Food was authentic and if you’re looking for a relaxed but somewhat faster service this would be an excellent place.

10/10I found this little restaurant on Google maps due to the location to the train station where a friend was meeting us. Our dinner was very good! I got the Bruschette and my wife got a cheese, walnut and honey appetizer. Both were excellent. My second course was a wonderful pasta dish in a parmesan bowl. So good! My wife got a veal chop that was a bit overcooked but that was their only blemish. Got a traditional Tuscan dessert. Wine was exceptional. It can get loud if a group of 6 or more sits, making it difficult to hear conversation but our overall experience was very good!

10/10Ordered à la carte to try some different things but the lunch menu looked like a really good deal -- it also seemed to be the choice of many locals. Nice ambiance and good food. Very simple to confirm the reservation and claim the discount.

10/10It’s a really good restaurant, the appetizer we had ordered was so delicious, the appetizer were four tapas, each one of them tastes so great! The T-bone steak also is so delicious, it just go around for two adult. It isn’t so big, but it’s special and cute. It’s really a recommendable restaurant!

8/10Restaurant was easy to locate n service was good. Cod and tiramisu were fantastic. Pork steak was a bit dry. Overall enjoyed our dinner very much.

10/10This trattoria was great all around. Friendly staff. We had all 3 courses including desert. Excellent menu selections. Everything was delicious. Great wine selection as well. It was away from the craziness of downtown Florence.

9.5/10We arrived at 7pm, and though that is their opening time, it is clear they do not really expect customers at that time. Took awhile to get things going and there seemed to be some differences of opinion among staff. However, once they did get going, wow! The food was great, the wine was great, the atmosphere was great. Wish we had waited until 7:30 to go.

6.5/10Good food , good value. Left really angry. Waited half an hour for service after the main course dishes were picked up, started to try to get waitress' attention when work slowed down. Waited another 15 minutes and then just stood at the door waiting for the bill without getting paid-for coffee or desert.

7.5/10Trattoria Guelfa was a great choice for us for dinner. It provided us a good sense of local Florentine cuisine. Though we were the first diners in the restaurant for the evening, it filled up quickly with groups of local folks coming to enjoy a hearty meal. The prices were very reasonable. We had a starter, two entrees, a side dish, two desserts, wine, and an espresso for under 50 Euros. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Overall it was a good experience!
