Florentine steak and cannellini beans were the best! Service was quick and friendly! Would highly reccomend.

(Mi viene meglio scrivere in inglese). The peposo was overcooked and burnt . The other dishes tasted like something you’d get from a student canteen. We had to wait awhile before the vegetables came to join the mains. The zuppa inglese was inedible. It’s a shame, as I remember this being a great place years ago.

What a traditional trattoria experience should be. Amazing food and incredibly helpful staff.

Sadly my husband’s boiled meat selection was SO flavourless (as he said) and as for the salad, we were given scant of the dark green leaves and way too much of the light green leaves. Meanwhile other tables had the more flavourful dark green salad.

Food was prepared in advance, not fresh.

Had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. The food is authentic Tuscan food with ingredients sourced locally. The menu changes each day to reflect what is available. Started with Tortellini which was a great dish followed by the best piece of roast pork I’ve ever had. Sides of steamed spinach and roast potatoes were perfect. Throughout the visit the service was excellent with advice being shared easily and above all it was fun. Thouroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to taste and enjoy a real Firenze food experience. The best restaurant I visited in Firenze. Grazie!,

A genuine old style restaurant - tiny and intimate with an open kitchen. Expect to share the table and have a great time as you do it. Beware of the steak - it is very very good but also very very big!!!

I first went to this restaurant when I was 19 and every time I return the food is excellent today 42 years later the creme caramels are still the best ever I had a lovely roast pork . It is always very busy so tables are shared with other customers and service is fast prices are reasonable

Lo Mossacce offers a lovely experience of a friendly, homey trattoria with classic renderings of honest Tuscan food.

Awesome authentic Italian atmosphere. Tiny restaurant with the kitchen completely visible which was fun to watch. Staff were very nice and accommodating. A great experience.

No fancy table cloths and small menu but the food and service made up for it! Felt very much like a family style restaurant. Since there were just 2 of us, we shared our table with other patrons so a bit of a tight squeeze. If you are looking for a quick, authentic and reasonably priced dinner, I’d recommend this place.

This was a cozy little place with lots of locals and a friendly Florentine welcome from everyone! We sat near their kitchen and could watch them work. It was charming.

Frozen pastas and subpar steak. Might as well go spend $30 more on a quality restaurant

We were last here 30 years ago! Florence has changed a great deal in those years, more tourists and more traffic. But Le Mossacce was exactly as we remembered it!, Nothing fancy. Just great food and big portions at very fair prices. They are 98 years old, so surely they are doing something right. Hope to return — maybe in two years this time.!

My favourite restaurant in Florence. Nice and cosy a stone from the duomo. Best Fiorentina ever and nice and friendly staff. I really recommend the zuppa inglese dessert, a must!

What a great little Trattoria in Florence. We had 2 great meals including primi, secondi and contorni. Plus 2 375 ml carafes of house wine. All for 58€! And the food was great. Small place. They put the two of us at a table for four with another person. But it felt cosy and authentic. If you want the feel of Tuscany and Italy, this is the place to go. Buon appetito!
