Lamb chops and grilled chicken were cooked perfectly and ver flavourful. The tiramisu was so good, a second serve was necessary. Would visit again :^)

Fantastic tiny restaurant with creative Tuscan dishes. Everything is top quality. 2nd time my wife and I have eaten dinner here and the quality has been consistent!

The food quality was relatively average. We ordered a polpette with meat and potatoes as an antipasti which was quite good. The lamb chops were very disappointing- mostly bone and fat. The linguine with vongole did not have any seafood flavor (peppery with lots of olive oil); most of clams were shut. Would not recommend.

Overall excellent quality of food. The special carbonara tagliatelle with asparagus was outstanding. Intimate atmosphere with friendly service.

We keep going back to Maga Mago, they are very welcoming and the food is great. As we expect in Italy, the food is very seasonal. Lately artichokes have been in season and they've been fried and served with stracchino cheese. Yummy. My wife loves the frittatina, whether it's with spring onions, asparagus or artichokes. This month there's also been puntarelle sautéed with black olives (we had them leave out the anchovies). The pastas are great, I usually have the homemade spinach and cheese ravioli, but yesterday I loved the tagliatelle with pencil thin asparagus. They also have their own take on Carbonara. We're vegetarian, but my friend thought the chicken "under a brick" was perfect. And I see people loving an ossobuco special. They have a wide menu with options for everyone. Deserts are also homemade, tiramisu and chocolate cake are both very good, and when it gets warmer the tortas with fruit. House wine is good, but they also have a nice selection by the bottle at reasonable prices.

Lovely dinner in an adorable restaurant! We had the spring onion frittata, mussel and clam Ionica spaghetti, ravioli, strip steak, polpette, and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was fantastic and the chef was very hospitable (speaking phenomenal English might I add). 10/10 would recommend

Cute, tiny restaurant, but terrible service and food is OK. We had a reservation and they seemed confused about it (restaurant was empty except for two other tables of 2). Waitress took our order and then stood by the register on her phone the rest of the night- the busboy served us our food, got additional drinks for us, and cleared the table. Chef and waitress were not friendly and very off-putting. Spaghetti was OK, vegetables were decent but drenched in oil, and croquettes were awful. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We spent the entire Summer in Florence and had dinner at Maga Mago at least once weekly. Every time we went it was like having a homemade Italian meal at our friend’s house. So warm and unpretentious. The food is always delicious and made from scratch with great service. We felt like family every time we went. We are going back home to the U.S. tomorrow and will truly miss them.

Loved the place …. The owner was so busy cooking but came out front and was so kind to an African woman who didnt speak Italian and spoke very little English . Food was outstanding … waitress was so busy but great . Another server would help . Place was packed . We will go back . Thank you to the owner/ chef and the waitress for a nice evening !
