Our food wars not as tasty as we expected…perhaps we ordered the wrong thing. For instance, the lasagna didn’t have any red sauce as those that ordered it expected. And the owner ended up almost ended up “shooing” us out of there…literally waving his hands…like “go”. So I ended up not feeling all that welcome - perhaps beside we are American. Again, that was a feeling - nothing was said to discourage us.

A locals’ place that will be ruined by disrespectful visitors so please mind your manners and support this restaurant, thank you in advance. But if you want a hearty meal in a cozy place then come hungry, portions are if your Nonna was serving you. Fantastic servers, chef/cook, staff.

Laidback, traditional Tuscan restaurant. We had bruschetta, pappardelle fresche al ragu' di cinghiale, rigatoni alla pallottino, and melanzane alla parmigiana. They were all excellent. The coursing out got fumbled a bit, but not a big deal.

Our server was very friendly and attentive. Good was terrific!! Treated to a nice shot of limoncello at the end of our meal. 🤩

Food was hearty and delicious. Our waiter was incredible. And at the end of our meal, he brought us a complimentary limoncello... and then left the bottle with us, lol. Tables were close (as usual in Firenze). We started a conversation with the table beside us, and ended up having dinner with them the next night. Such a great night!
