Trattoria Totò has been a staple every time that we have visited Amsterdam for the last 18 years. The atmosphere and food are excellent. We shall make it 19 years in 2026.

I really enjoyed the food, it was like eating mom's food. Delicious!!! In addition the service was professional, friendly and detailed. Very gezellig place, I will came back for sure!

The food was great and the owner/server was very nice! However, we waited several minutes before being greeted and he acted exasperated that we were there and had a reservation and proceeded to sit us at a dirty table, which he removed the soiled dishes from once we sat. He never cleaned the table. We waited an extensive time before getting our food. The food was tasty! Everything we ate was great

Wonderful place for a terrific dinner. Food was wonderful, very flavorful. The service was top notch but not in a fussy way. It’s a small quaint restaurant if you are looking for a great meal this is for you!

The food was great quality authentic Italian food. The service was on point. I would without doubt return if I am in Amsterdam too good to miss!

In town from Chicago and another great visit to Trattoria Totò. This a gem of a place with excellent food. Prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Salvatore is very welcoming and friendly. What a busy man! The food was so tasty we went there 2 times during our 4 days in Amsterdam. This is a small but extremely popular Italian restaurant so makes a reservation for sure!

The waiter was condescending towards us. We were surprised as we have not had this type of experience in Amsterdam at other restaurants. He did seem extremely busy with all his tables so perhaps this was why he was rude. The food was okay… we had many other meals in the city that were better.

We had seen the restaurant while walking on the street and it smelled amazing! We made a reservation thru the Fork but when we arrived at the restaurant at the appointed (and confirmed) time, there was no record of our reservation. Fortunately we were able to eat "if we were out within an hour for the next reservation" and dinner was terrific, The owner said that the only reservations he knows about are those made thru his website. When I went to the website, however, there was no way to make a reservation?!? So, while we had a great experience finally, it was nerve wracking and distressing to learn when we arrived that there was no record of our having made a reservation. What's the solution?

It was busy the night we were there. 2 large parties seemed to get all the attention. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks order in. We just added our food order at the same time as we could see how slow service was. Food seemed to take a long time to come and when it did the waiter didn’t stop to ask if we wanted Parmesan cheese. Was half way through our dish before we got the waiters attention to ask for it which the dish definitely needed. Was very under impressed with service and food. We were going to have a dessert but after asking for the menu, again we waited so decided to leave. It’s a shame as I had read good reviews about the place which is why I booked it. The place was maybe understaffed for the amount of people they had in but if they were all bookings they should have been more prepared.

Service couldn't handle it, carpaccio was frozen, we mentioned but the waiter didn't care. It was ok but not worth it
