9.5/10In town from Chicago and another great visit to Trattoria Totò. This a gem of a place with excellent food. Prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend the restaurant.

10/10Salvatore is very welcoming and friendly. What a busy man! The food was so tasty we went there 2 times during our 4 days in Amsterdam. This is a small but extremely popular Italian restaurant so makes a reservation for sure!

6/10The waiter was condescending towards us. We were surprised as we have not had this type of experience in Amsterdam at other restaurants. He did seem extremely busy with all his tables so perhaps this was why he was rude. The food was okay… we had many other meals in the city that were better.

9.5/10We had seen the restaurant while walking on the street and it smelled amazing! We made a reservation thru the Fork but when we arrived at the restaurant at the appointed (and confirmed) time, there was no record of our reservation. Fortunately we were able to eat "if we were out within an hour for the next reservation" and dinner was terrific, The owner said that the only reservations he knows about are those made thru his website. When I went to the website, however, there was no way to make a reservation?!? So, while we had a great experience finally, it was nerve wracking and distressing to learn when we arrived that there was no record of our having made a reservation. What's the solution?

5.5/10It was busy the night we were there. 2 large parties seemed to get all the attention. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks order in. We just added our food order at the same time as we could see how slow service was. Food seemed to take a long time to come and when it did the waiter didn’t stop to ask if we wanted Parmesan cheese. Was half way through our dish before we got the waiters attention to ask for it which the dish definitely needed. Was very under impressed with service and food. We were going to have a dessert but after asking for the menu, again we waited so decided to leave. It’s a shame as I had read good reviews about the place which is why I booked it. The place was maybe understaffed for the amount of people they had in but if they were all bookings they should have been more prepared.

9.5/10We went on time and got a good table just like we have reserved. Although the place was full, we had great service and very good food served on time. From starters, carpaccio was a great option. You should also try Lasagna and Ravioli.

10/10The food here is always delicious. Our kids love the pasta with 4 cheeses and request that we go back here for this dish in particular! Seafood pasta was delicious, lots of mussels and salmon. Parmigiana was one of the specials and also very tasty. Nice cosy restaurant.

5/10The place looks pretty cozy but the food was very poor. We both chose pasta, which normally should be a safe option but it was not great. When you pay 20 euros for a portion of pasta you expect it to be good. If you wanted extra parmesan you had to pay 2 euros more, which I found ridiculous. We also chose to have some wine which did not have much taste. The waiter was nice though, trying to make jokes and create a nice atmosphere.

10/10Come here first time for celebration of birthday day. Really enjoyed food, delicious pizza, creamy and tasty pasta with salmon and homemade tiramisu. Also paired with good bottel of wine Pino Grigio. Definitely want to return to that welcoming place. Thank you!

10/10Thankfully I had made a quick reservation when I found this restaurant, they had no tables left when we walked in. Atmosphere is super cute and we were seated by the window. We had Pasta Bolognaise, Spaghetti and Meatballs and the 4 cheese pasta followed by tiramisu. All the food was delicious! Service was good, our waiter was the only one on the floor, although we had to ask for a few odds and ends throughout dinner - more wine, another beer and a fork, he handled all the tables within a timely fashion. Would highly recommend for very authentic Italian food.

9/10This is quite little italian restaurant with good location. An antipasti plate was great with vitello tonnato and eggplant. Pizzas were good and a lemon sorbet was in a intersting shape. The service was cosy and warm, we felt very welcome.

10/10We first went to Trattoria Toto in 2019 when visiting from Chicago. So delighted that we found this gem again on our latest visit. The food is excellent. The owner/ waiter is friendly, and knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. Prices are very reasonable given the area and the quality of food. Greg P

4/10A small trattoria we chose due to good reviews that turned out to be not deserved. Service was poor…waiter seemed totally uninterested and bordered on rude. Salad was a clump of iceberg lettuce past it’s prime. Pasta was boring, too salty. Food took a long time to come. Wine by the class was a rip off….6 euros for 4 oz glasses. There are many good restaurants in the area. Chose somewhere else.

10/10We loved everything about this restaurant. It’s beautiful and the service was friendly and excellent. Not rushed. Nice and varied menu with lots of specials. Our appetizers, entrees and desserts were just delicious. Very reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend and return!

10/10A fantastic find right in the heart of Amsterdam. Trattoria Toto serves tasty homemade food in a traditional setting with an authentic Italian feel. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended.

6/10We have been to this restaurant before and had a great experience of having Italian food and wine. But this time we did not have that great an experience. The pizza was overcooked and the crust was hard. The pasta was good. It was a busy day at the restaurant and it took a while for our orders to be taken.

6/10Too long to wait for 1 pizza as starter If we didn’t ask , has to be order the main course and then they serve the starter The waiter knew we share the pizza , we have to ask him to cut the pizza , too long to wait , we cut the pizza by ourselves,, after 15 minutes he came give us the knife , already done !the 1st and the last
