7.5/10The restaurant is nicely decorated, and appears to have Michelin aspirations as there was a tiny stool for my handbag. I declined the bread, which meant I wasn’t brought an amuse bouche. The croquettes as a starter were lovely but tiny, I could have had 4 rather than 2. The pork cheek was delicious as was the purée but totally unbalanced in terms of size. Luckily I ordered red peppers to balance the lack of vegetables. Pear tarte tatin was disappointing. There was no char or stickiness on the pears, and the pastry was a soggy mess with no crunch or flaky layers.

Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the ambiance and touches like the handbag stool—attention to detail is something we take pride in. We’re sorry to learn that declining the bread led to the amuse-bouche being omitted. That’s not in line with the experience we aim to offer, and we will be reviewing this with our team to ensure consistency for all guests. Your comments on the portion sizes and balance of the dishes are greatly appreciated. We're glad you found the croquettes and pork cheek flavourful, and we’ll certainly take your suggestions into account as we refine our offerings. Regarding the pear tarte tatin, we’re disappointed it didn’t meet expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll be discussing this with our pastry team to address the texture and flavour issues you mentioned. We hope to welcome you back in the future for a more well-rounded experience.
