+3Most of the sushi and sashimi dishes are tasty. The dessert is delicious. The service is excellent.

Some tuna dishes were good, some are mediocre. I wouldn’t call anything special or excellent.

Everything Wonderfull

We only ordered from the Japanese menu. Everything was simply amazing. So fresh, so tasty! But to really enjoy it you need to love raw tuna a lot.

The food concept is quite interesting, focusing on red tuna and its discovery in usual forms. It also is a tribute to the restauration of oceans thru responsible fishing and eco-system restoration. The various dishes were well presented and most quite good, especially those more inspired from japanese cuisine. Good effort. The service was ok, maybe a bit neglectful or inattentive/slow...The decor is interesting, but some tables not in a enjoyable position, but ours was nice.

+5Must visited established in Barcelona for fusion food lovers. All dishes made from tuna. Best sake choices either low price in town.

+8Absolutely AMAZING! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! I can’t wait to return to this exquisite culinary experience. It is a must if you are in Barcelona!

The food was unique and had a flavor profile that was phenomenal. It was a last minute reservation that was a great choice.

We ordered the blue menu, and the tuna was outstanding and beautifully presented. The blue menu will leave you satisfied, but not stuffed. All beautiful little bits. Next time for real over-the-top we will try the red menu! The service and restaurant is elegant and calm

Extraordinary experience- everything tuna - the dishes were amazing and different even though so many ingredients were the same- amazingly reasonably priced - our waiter did all the recommendations and they were perfect

This is a tale of two very different experiences. We’ll start with the food which is amazing, well presented and excellent value for money. The service however, doesn’t live up to the €100+ per person price tag and if you are seated at the back of the restaurant you’ll have a view of the kitchen, the ambience is not befitting of the final bill. The staff are also not up to the level you expect at this price point. It is 5 star food with 4 star service. The staff are friendly enough and did a great job of explaining the dishes, but they lacked the final polish. The digital menus are something you expect at a chain restaurant. If you want to be environmentally conscious then deliver your menus on tablets and not ask your guests to scan a QR code and try and navigate the menu on their mobile devices.

It was my second time at the restaurant. The food quality and the overall level of the menu is indisputable: the nigiris and the sashimi is definitely a strong feat of the restaurant, but the fusion dishes are also extremely good. I was very disappointed by the service: sloppy and untimely, especially considering the level of the restaurant and the fact that there was a limited number of customers.

Simply one of the finest restaurants one can experience in Barcelona. The ambiance is sublime and the fare is top quality. Presentations were beautiful and well thought out and the quality of the food off the charts. Service, well it wasn't perfect but it was very good. Overall a beautiful display of tuna prepared 20 different ways. Well done !!

Amazing restaurant. If you like tuna and you’re in Barcelona, you must try la TunaTeca. We took the smallest blue menu and it was well enough for both of us. If you like fish, go try it, you won’t regret.

Very nice experience, we had the red tasting menu and it was very nice but I think that a bit of bread with the hot main course would be nice as by then you had lots of Tuna and also in the 2 main courses so bread would make it easier to eat. Also in our opinion the desert should be with stronger flavours like strong chocolate or similar to help reducing the strong flavour of tuna in your mouth. Apart from this things that are personal opinion we recommend to have this experience.

Worn out furniture , bathrooms are nasty. Needs urgent renovations. Food was good, although some dishes were over salted. The tuna was top notch though

+2The parade of small tuna plates was delicious. The variety & quality were outstanding. We had the smaller of the 2 set menus and opted for one glass of wine each. Service was good, given that this isn't the sort of place you are in a hurry. A good place for a special meal.

+9I have never eaten at an award winning Michelin restaurant before. There just happened to be a Japanese Michelin restaurant across from our hotel. Tunateca Balfegó is dedicated to creating fusion-style dishes using sustainable Bluefin Tuna and Kaitai, an ancient Japanese art that consists of achieving the precise cut of a 100 kg specimen. We were able to get in for lunch today. We had the Red Gourmet Menu, which consisted of several appetizers, hot and cold courses and two desserts, a total of 13 dishes over an hour and 45 minutes. I eat seafood but not other meat, so the chef modified a few of my dishes. It was an incredibly delicious experience and certainly something to always remember.

The food was awesome. We really enjoyed it. If it is your first visit, recommend to star from the blue (short) menu. Even at this menu there were to much food. The service was excellent. And it was so interesting to observehow was chef cooking.

That was sooo delicious! I'm not a tuna fan at all so my friends convinced me to go. And yesterday tuna opened again for me, I was so excited and delighted. Thank you guys for that evening!

+7It was my first experience of tasting a full tuna menu; the dishes were great overall. I chose an 11 courses menu with wine pairing; the food was too much for me; I started feeling full with the cooked tuna although it was delicious. Finally, I wish they serve lemon sorbet as dessert rather than the cucumber sorbet.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant, a must for tuna fish lovers. We choose the Blue fin Gastronomic menu and each little dish they served us was delicious. A wonderful trip through Tuna fantasies. The atmosphere is quiet, and ideal for a good conversation over a lovely dinner. Not cheap, but truly worth spending your money.

Great quality of tuna , creative dishes of crudo/cooked , and modern ambiance . Rapid and professional waitstaff. I enjoyed the nigiri dishes best.

Elegant room. Superb service. Very good food – with an excellent wine service. As the name indicates, everything tuna (except dessert). A dozen small plates, divided into four sets. The appetizers were, I thought, good but nothing special. The sushi, however, was superb. (I especially liked the tuna and unagi, served on a small sheet of nori, eaten like a taco. And freshly grated Catalan wasabi on the sashimi was a nice touch.) The starters were very good, but a slight cut below. (For example, the tuna belly with foie gras cream seemed to me an interesting idea that did not quite pan out.) But the three mains were first rate, varied, and very clever. (One with scrambled egg. One a curry, The third a dumpling with a morel.) Excellent flan for dessert with passion fruit cream. The wine pairings were great: sherry, then sake, then a number of different (mostly Catalan) wines, all of which (except for a good but perfectly ordinary Chardonnay) were interesting. And the integration with the food was superb. (Also, very generous pours. I suspect that I had substantially more than a full bottle over the course of the meal.) The waitress and the sommelier were both personable and professional. And, eating alone, I enjoyed the distraction of sitting at the sushi. The food is not quite Michelin one star – which, of course, means it is very very good, And everything else (including Riedel glasses and absolutely gorgeous plates) was brilliantly done. On the pricey side (195 Euros with wine and coffee) but not unreasonable given the atmosphere and service.

Food is excellent especially the sashimi and sushi with different parts of the tuna. I tried the menú degustación and the only plate I dislike is the rice with fried chicken skin, which is not the Asian flavor nor the western one, better replace this one. The service is correct, once the waiter presented my dishes he didn’t make any introduction and started to talk to other clients in another table, which is not professional at all for not completing the serving process. But after I gave my opinion, he corrected his manner which is good, I believe it is just lack of experiences.
