Came here on a Monday night with my family. There were about 15-20 diners and only one waiting staff. Ordering food took ages. I had to ask for a menu, then wait ages to order and then wait a long time for the food to arrive. 2 mains came together and 10mins later the third main arrived. The food tasted decent but service was very poor.

dear adventurer, we're sorry if you had to wait, but I believe that eating in a restaurant should be a pleasure... and not a race against time. anyway the next time he comes let us know beforehand so we can hire a waiter just for his table so we can pay him with the measly 5 euros he paid. Thanking you again, we wish you a good stay in Catania.

I must say that this place is a hidden gem. It is not a main street, but super close from it and we absolutely loved it. We felt very welcome during our time there and food was amazing. We arrived and a lovely lady awaited us , menu had many options and it was hard for us as everything sounded delicious just from the description, but we limited ourselves with only one started - warm fish plate, which was HUGE and delicious and starter itself was a whole experience with many flavours and textures. Then we got the main dishes and portions were huge again, I barely could finish my pasta, but it was soo good that I managed it. I wish we had more time there to revisit the place as it was very cozy and wine selection was great and easy to navigate through. I highly suggest the place and thank you for an amazing service there!

Great place for fish and sea food lovers. Freshly prepared, tasty, large portions at incredibly low prices. Good House wine at 7 euro a bottle! Good service.

Good location, service and venue. Only issue is that food was slightly disappointing. The squid ink pasta didn’t have the seafood fragrance and the tuna steak was very overdone. Mussels were gone though

U Sapuritu is an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed grilled swordfish, pasta with eggplant, seafood risotto, two salads, and amazing desserts and it was all fantastic. The service was outstanding and the chef was super professional and nice. When in Catania, try this place. You won’t regret it.

We booked a table based on the 50% discount from The Fork and can't believe how good the food was. We were offered some arancinis to start on the house which was excellent! The pasta was delicious - we ordered the Pasta Norma and the spaghetti with Prawns, both were excellent! Service was very attentive even though there was only one waitress. Definitely recommend highly!
