It was a great place to take kids! The menu was simple, but the food was delicious. Both adults and kids in our group had a great time. The service was absolutely wonderful, dealing with four adults and two young kids is not easy. We had a really lovely evening. It wasn't too loud, we didn't have to shout at the kids to be heard over thumping music. We would go back tomorrow!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Viaggi nel Gusto. We shared the bruschetta appetizer which was excellent and just the perfect size for 3 people. In our family dinners included the lobster pasta, grilled steak with potatoes, spaghetti carbonara, and beef roast with vegetables, and then we shared a tiramisu. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive and we would definitely dine there again if we weren’t leaving Milan in 2 days.

It was very nice and cosy restaurant 😊. The food was amazing and delicious. The staff were polite and so helpful. We have good time there and I hope soon we go there again. Recommend with both hands.

A pleasant 10-15 minute stroll from the Duomo brings you to this charming family style restaurant with cosy decor and a menu of local and Mediterranean dishes. I had aubergine croquettes for starters followed by saffron risotto; whilst my husband had a salmon tartare and then cotoletto Minalese. All dishes were very tasty and the portions were ample. The service was just right; attentive but not too intrusive. Sadly I did not have room left for dessert; so I have another excuse to return next time I am in Milan. Meanwhile, I will also be recommending Viaggi nel Gusto to family and friends who visit the city.

This is not a touristic restaurant, most of the customers are italian. That´s one of the things I like the most at this place. The owner serves each table with the rest of the team and the pasta is fantastic.

Charming restaurant with amazing food. Especially spaghetti carbonara. Waitress was lovely and friendly - even as we spoke no Italian. The restaurant owner checked on our table - and other tables - to make sure everything going well. We heard primarily Italian from other guests so we felt that we weren’t in a tourist trap. We didn’t feel rushed or crowded. As another reviewer noted, wine list is small but good selections and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Owner met and sat us. We ordered a caprese salad, ravioli and Osso Buco risotto to share it was excellent. The wine list is small but each wine on it is good and not too expensive.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. We tried the Risotto alla Milanese, the Cotoletta alla Milanese, and a delicious cheese board. The risotto was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with saffron, while the cotoletta was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of authentic flavor.

Nice local and low key restaurant. However, the food is adequate with no item being close to exceptional. Actually, the entrees, Veal Milanese and Risotto Saffron with Osso Buco, were sloppy and unappetizing. The other irritant is the proprietor doesn’t manage his tables well. It was evident that we wouldn’t be seated for at least a half hour past our reservation. We went to the bar next door to wait since this restaurant didn’t have a bar. The proprietor knew we went there to wait while having a drink but never came to get us when a table was ready and never offered to give us anything considering the time we had to wait. As I think about it, he never even acknowledged the fact that we had to wait and that we had to settle into another bar. Poor service from a local proprietor of a small establishment. Overall, this is not worth a visit by tourists to Milan.

Dear Mr. Peter, Thank you for your review, even if it wasn't positive. I apologize for the misunderstanding regarding your reservation, but I want to clarify that: You arrived 15 minutes early, and therefore your table wasn't available; I immediately offered you a table outside, but your wife preferred to wait for a table inside; After a couple of minutes, your wife told me that you'd prefer to have a drink at the cocktail bar next door and then return later. I therefore kindly accompanied you to the cocktail bar and spoke with the manager to arrange a seat for you inside. I then waited for your return, reserving the best table in the restaurant for you. I apologize again for the misunderstanding. You were expecting me to tell you that the table was available, but I thought I'd let you enjoy your drink at your leisure and thus respect your choice. I hope to have you back as welcome guests at the restaurant and I wish you a good life. Regards

Great food, great location, we were sitting outside. Evertyhing was so nice and the feel of a local restaurant not a trouris oriented one. Fine selection of local Milanese/Lombardian dishes. Highly recommended!

Perfect casual Trattoria with AC after a hot day in chique Milan. The best test of a chef is how he or she makes the simple things. The Ali Olio Picante was simple and delicious. As were the Polpette di Melanzane. The Vongole was delicious and the Veal Milanese with French Fries was a the perfect secondi . The house wine, a Nero d’Avola was a perfect pairing to a reasonable and delicious dinner. Grazie mille

Delizioso is the only way to describe this authentic family run restaurant. The staff were very welcoming even happy to tweed out Italian words. If I had to nit pick, inside was a tad warm but it was an extremely hot day & maybe the air con was not coping. They do have outdoor seating as well. Service was quick and the restaurant was quite and the pricing was modest would happily return /for another lasagna it was so good.
