The space is unique relative to other spots we visited in Rome. We sat on the 2nd floor which was a brilliant use of a small space. Staff is warm and friendly. The food is delicious. Definitely make a reservation. It's a busy restaurant, but not loud or crowded. They take their time with service and meal design. It's an experience!

We loved it so much we went back twice to Virginiae while in Rome for two weeks. We had Christmas Eve dinner and had our last dinner in Rome there. Silvano was a cordial, lovely, funny and attentive waiter. All the staff was superb. Food was great (especially the white bean crostini) and the atmosphere quaint. The restaurant was tucked away from the tourists and no red checked table cloths. If we go back to Rome, Virginiae will be on the calendar.

We have been to this restaurant many times, but after this experience, we will not return. Initially I asked my waiter what would be the best lamb dish and he told me the roast lamb and potatoes which I ordered. It arrived cold and I asked to send it back and be reheated. The dish itself was bland and had absolutely no meat on it. A total waste of money. Then, we could not get the waiters to come near us again. No one asked us if we wanted anything else . They all were busy setting up for the incoming patrons. We were finally able to get someone to come to us and bring us our check. No apologies were offered. All in all, a very disappointing last night in Rome.

Second time here for dinner in as many recent trips to Rome. Would not miss it. Whether outside on a pleasant or inside and cozy on a colder one, never disappointments, always excellent. This time we shared the velvety cacio e pepe Roman pasta and each had our own melt in the mouth veal osso buco with mushrooms. Shejan was again our server and again was friendly, helpful and efficient. Until next time!

The poor service and the lack of customary offerings marred the experience. When we sat down, the server asked if we wanted natural or sparkling. Although we specified sparkling and he echoed our request, he served natural and only recognized the error when we brought it to his attention. He then left our glasses full with natural water. Several patrons who arrived after us were served well before us. When our order finally arrived, the carbonara dish was almost cold. When we brought that to his attention, he merely changed the serving plate and not the temperature of the serving. Throughout he never refilled our water or wine glasses. When he presented the bill, he had the audacity to ask for a tip. Uncustomarily, the coperto did not include any bread nor did it include limoncello at meal’s end. The mark up on the wine exceeded 3X and the offerings are skewed—either lower end or upper end with essentially no graduated offerings in the middle. The chairs are uncomfortable.

We found this lovely restaurant 10 years ago and we very pleased to see it was still open. We loved it then and still loved it today. The food is delicious. The service is fantastic. Our server Hema was very friendly and provided great advice on our meals. I hope it is still open Years from now. I would highly recommend to give this restaurant a try.

TThe food at Victoriae was amazing! We had the oxtail, chicken, and fennel salad — all delicious, with rich flavors and beautiful presentation. While our server was very pleasant, overall service was very slow. Plus my entree was warm, not hot. The server offered to replace it but it took so long to get that I decided to just eat the entree I received.

My husband & I shared the fried zucchini flower with cheese and anchovy for appetizer as well as their delicious pasta gricia. He had the trippa alla Romana which he said was probably the best he’s ever had. I had the oxtail Roman style which was falling off the bone. We also had a tiramisu and a bottle of Chianti, both we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to go back again before we leave Rome.

Both of my sons had eaten here while on vacation in past years and when they knew I was in Rome sent me all the information I needed to find this place, what to order and even how to pronounce it! I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and tiramisu for dessert and was not disappointed. While the service was slow our waiter was jovial and pleasant.

I booked this place for my birthday as the reviews looked great...and well, they were right. Lovely staff and excellent food. For a place so near Piazza Navona it was very well priced. They even brought a tirimasu either a candle! Highly recommend this place.

Whenever we come to Rome, we come to Virginiae. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Virginiae is where you need to be. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting from the time you walk in, with a perfect blend of charm and modern elegance. They have two floors of seating inside and as well as “al fresco” dining. We were remembered by Silvano, who is the consummate waiter. We ordered a Pinot Grigio from the Friuli region, whose bouquet was marked by an impressive fruitiness. (It was a great choice.) We decided to split the homemade Ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese in a butter and sage sauce. The butter and sage sauce was so delicate. Then we shared an order of grilled lamb rib with roasted potatoes. Every dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor from the first bite to the last. The plating was just as impressive as the taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Thank you for a memorable dining experience!

First of all, from the moment we crossed the threshold of the restaurant, we were surrounded by the friendly care of the waiters, who told us about the menu and recommended several dishes. The service was helpful but not intrusive, and we really felt that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had the best possible time in the restaurant. During our stay, one waiter in particular deserves a special mention - Hemal, who really took care of us. The food was delicious, some of the best we had in Rome. The restaurant also offers excellent wines. Above all, it offers a wonderful time: you can relax and enjoy fantastic food in peace. Fortunately, there are no numerous TikTok and Instagram influencers here, as there are, for example, in the overrated Osteria da Fortunata (one of the worst restaurant experiences we had in Rome). So, I can highly recommend Virginiae. Ps. The owner is really cool, we've talked with him a little.
