9.5/10Traditional Portuguese cuisine in a nice but dated setting. Very professional and attentive service. Wine list very extensive. Prices higher than average in the area but portions are generous. For a special occasion or if you just want to splurge on a very good meal, this is a good choice.

10/10We booked the restaurant for my dad’s 70th birthday and I am so happy we did. The service and the food is the best in Cascais. We left with one very happy birthday boy. Thank you to the team for making it so special. We will be back.

10/10What a wonderful place! Great food, a lovely park side ambience, and great service by a jovial, efficient staff. Recently enjoyed my birthday dinner there and then decided to return for my last dinner in Cascais.

10/10Our 16 people party received a fantastic welcome and attention from the waiters. Fresh fish prepared for most of us, and some had meat. Amazing experience downtown Cascais, which I recommend to take family, friends or for a business meal.

10/10Beautiful old world charm! Staff were a delight (older in the seen it all done it all - can make your evening seamless). Food was stunning, we gorged on gooie warm cheese, perfectly cooked chateaubriand and the freshest delicate hand made skinny chips. Wine menu is impressive and reasonably priced. I am gluten free and the ‘special toast for you’ was some of the best I ever eaten. The perfect last meal in the culinary delight that is Cascais.

8.5/10Great food, excellent service, really nice waiting staff. Prices were a bit too high compared to other places we have dined in. I would gladly go back, though, simply because of the wait staff - just the nicest, friendliest people.

3/10The food was nice but pricey but was disappointed that a small plate of ham was put on the table with the bread and olives and was charged for ham 15,euro plus cover charge 6.60 euros they didn't make us aware of this charged .

10/10This was the best restaurant we ate at during our two-week trip to Ireland and Portugal. The food was amazing. The grilled squid and shrimp was fresh and had a nice char on it. The white wine, recommended by the waiter, was light and crisp, just the way I like it. And the service was very attentive without being intrusive. It was a meal I won't soon forget!

9.5/10This place was recommended to us by my brother and his wife as they had previously visited. It's an unassuming spot with a casual vibe and excellent food. Everything we tried was delicious - shrimp in garlic oil, octopus, cod and a fish stew. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

All mains were great Everyone enjoyed them thoroughly The wine was chosen with the dishes in mind and we took help from the staff Very knowledgeable We would definitely go back

We often bring visitors there, and to a person they are delighted by both the quality of the food, and the outstanding hospitality that the staff consistently brings to its guests. Their cataplana is magnificent, truly world class. I guarantee that you’ll want to return after having dined there once.

We had a fantastic lunch yesterday! First time after years of saying we were going to try it. Amêijoas and robalo were perfectly prepared as you would expect. Service by Marco was also perfect. Unexpected was the dessert wine list with many old bottles of vintage and colheita ports.

This restaurant was highly recommended by good friends whose taste we trust. We visited Cascais, and made straight for the restaurant specifically for the sea bass baked in sea salt. It was not only the best baked fish I have ever had (and that is saying a lot), the fish was fluffy and moist, but the service and ambiance were amazing. Classically Portuguese!

10/10This space envelopes you in a 'Tavern on the Green' manner, as you watch the people in the Parque from under timbered ceilings and dark paneling. The wide variety of shellfish and seafood are their specialty yet the partridge should tempt you, too, in its velvety brown gravy and roasted veggies. Sea bream in a dlat crust was served table side with perfect veggies. Everything about this meal, this place, the servers is 5 star.

10/10Very warm welcome on arrival and lovely waiters throughout our meal. We all enjoyed our meals and would especially recommend the spider crab starter, sea bass Portuguese style and fillet steak. We chose the house red & white wine and both were fine.

10/10Cascais is something of a tourist town, especially in the summer. But if you want a sample of the brilliance of the local cuisine, you need go no farther than Visconde da Luz. I'm an immigrant, a local for a year and a half, and this is one of two places I bring visitors to impress them with the idyllic nature of my adoptive home. The service is outstanding, the food is delectable, the ambiance is agreeable, and the restaurant consistently delivers a superlative experience without being fussy. This is not a place that's going to attract trend-setters or Michelin-star groupies... and that's just fine. It's honest food, prepared with skill and care and love. If Anthony Bourdain were still alive, I would take him here, and I'm confident he would love it as much as I do.

5.5/10Disappointed- was expecting better. Waiting 35 mins on a fairly empty restaurant is not an auspicious start. Never had a drier bacalhau in Portugal. Many other better places in Cascáis so won’t be back
