9.5/10The Wilde Zwijnen was a perfect culmination to our holiday! My partner and I both went all out with the full tasting menu and oysters, and we were not disappointed! A beautiful crafted tasting menu, consisting of two fish dishes, one vegetarian dish (the star of the show imo - a steak free tartare), a Guinea fowl dish with amazing baked semolina, and a gorgeous rhubarb and strawberry dessert! Don’t be afraid of the “unwritten” nature of the menu!

6/10Food was okay... They have a enforced tasting menu... It's more of a local neighbourhood place, so don't go with very high expectations. The food was mostly good - although we did have a plate with half a baked potato on it and a crevette on top. The crevette was fab - the potato just odd - and not even that nice, as far as baked potatoes go! However, should a baked potato ever get need a restaurant's plates. Hmm...

10/10We had an amazing experience! Potion sizes were perfectly measured. I loved the option of the ‘Half glass’ wine paring menu (which in all fairness is the equivalent to a regular Danish pour!) The vibe is down to earth, attentive staff with an impressive 'know-how' when it comes to wines. The interior is industrial (cast concrete, plank tables, steel/architectural chairs and soft bulb lighting - also with a hint of bohemian - ceramics, wooden cutlery and heavy curtains. It is all brilliantly topped up with a soundscape presenting music such as Stan Getz smoothly transitioning to funky vibes like Fat Freddy's Drop. Pricing is fair and budget friendly. All in all definitely worth a visit!

10/10This was a really memorable meal, the food was incredible and worthy of a star, but the service made it, informal neighbourhood vibes yet attentive and not over bearing. Knowledgable about each dish and wine would come back again and again. Full marks! X

10/10The ambience made a lot of sense _after_ we tasted our first bite of the food - it is deliberatedly understated, just like the dishes. Presented extremely well, still the food looks deceptively simple, and so the first bite makes you go 'Whaaat! that was fantastic!!' :). I will highly recommend this to anyone I know who's looking to visit Amsterdam - especially my vegetarian friends!

7.5/10The menu was kept as a “surprise menu” so basically you will choose the number of courses and then wait for it to come. The waiting between meals was bit long. The food was very good (bit little for the price) but overall the experience was good. Should visit for special occassion

6/10mixed thoughts: it seems the place can do better, I might have not the luckiest experience I've ordered two sets of three dishes for three people to share, after consultation with the waiter – there should've been two various selections with meat/fish difference for the main course in the end, we each received three of the same courses and got billed for three, although that wasn't the agreement the food itself was pretty interesting, though I expected a bit more: the venison was a bit dry, for example; my friend didn't like the first raw fish appetizer at all and it got changed quickly, that was good you're not being told what is included in the set: you learn as the dishes are served; the pauses between the dishes were too long, and sometimes we had the feeling the waiters forgot about us sitting in a corner the waiters explain the dishes when they serve them, but it's hard to keep track as there are many ingredients - it would be great to have a set list on the table for better understanding the place itself looks great and the atmosphere is lively, but our experience was not the best for the money paid

10/10Really fun, energetic unassuming place east of central Amsterdam. Staff was great and food was excellent. Once of the best scallop dishes I've ever had. Really enjoyed each dish - portions were just right and the quality and creativity were excellent. Would definitely go back!
