8.5/10Nice staff, good authentic food, reasonably priced and a huge choice. Definitely worth a visit when in Rome. 2 Starter, 2 main courses, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of good White wine, 2 bottles water and 1 dessert was 92.50€. After deduction of the 20% discount of The Fork we paid 74€. We received a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning and were given a sweet goodbye bite at the end.

10/10Definitely a great find! Excellent ambient, perfectly cooked meat, big portions of all delicacies, welcoming and efficient staff!! The welcome drinks and bruschettas make difference!! Bravo!

8.5/10At the begging we were served with bruscetta with tomatoes and glass of prossecco. It was very nice surprise. We ordered deep fried cod filet, lasagna, minestrone soup and tortellini ragu. When fish was served it ooccured that it is ice cold inside but immiadetelly it was replaced with another one well done, it was very tasty. Lasagna and minestrone soup were hot and delicious also as gnocchi ragu, which was served instead of tortellini cause waiter told that's is not available. We also drunk hot tea, water and white wine.

9/10Fantastic cosy and stylish little restaurant on the doorsteps of the Vatican, high end well priced tasty food and stunning wine collection. Great friendly service and made for a very enjoyable evening!!

10/10As soon as we entered this restaurant we were greeted by a very kind man. We received really good service from everyone and the food was well made! At the beginning they served us wine and brusietta and at the end they gave us a lemon dessert on the house. All those for free. The atmosphere was very nice and it felt very comfortable.

10/10We loved the Wine Bar di Penitenzieri for breakfast on way to Vatican for Mass and from Pope Francis’ Sunday message. Starter of bruschetta and a sparkling wine tasting was great. We had gnocchi-it was delicious. Had Caprese salad as well, very good. service impeccable!

10/10I think this was, by far, the best restaurant experience I've ever had, for several reasons (it's going to be long ????) First of all, shout out to our AMAZING waiter Alessandro, the one reaponsible for making our dinner so memorable. With my sister we visited Rome on a very tight budget, so we were using this app so as to save some money with the discounts, and we also chose to share some plates and even a single bottle of coke, to save a couple euros. Alessandro not only perfectly understood that we wanted to share everything that we ordered, providing two glasses for the coke, two bowls for the soup, and two plates for the pizza, but ALSO gifted us a drink and a bruschetta to each of us as an appetizer saying "it's one for each, no need to share!! Welcome", and finally a limoncello sort of dessert. He also brought every course at a perfect timing, one right after the other. Finally, he also helped us get a taxi to the bus station, again, right on time, as we told him by what time we needed to be there (quite soon) I cannot stress enough how amazing of a last dinner in Rome it was, specially thanks to Alessandro's kindness! Will definitely go back on our next visit to Rome, and I highly recommend it! 10/10!

9.5/10We had a lovely meal here that I booked a few days before we came to Rome. We sat outside and ordered with the waiter who brought us two bruschetta before each course! We both had the lasagne and it was the best lasagne I’ve ever had! Very impressed. We then shared a burger for a second course, and had cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert. We were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco when we arrived and it was so good I ordered more! The place is a short walk from the Basilica. I would recommend this place for a lovely meal!

9.5/10I booked by the fork 30 minutes before so the staff didn’t have our name on the costumer list but he made us a table. We waited for 10 minutes there but it was ok since every staffs were working so hard. We had nice pasta and wines. If you visit Vatican, it’s nice restaurant to stop by!

10/10My wife and I had a great late afternoon snack at Wine Bar de' Penitenzieri. The wait staff was extremely attentive, despite being fairly busy. They brought us some amuse-bouche and even a taste of a effervescent white wine as starter. It was totally unexpected. The pizza, Cacio e Pepe, and wine were outstanding. Portion sizes were generous and we definitely left feeling full. The wine bar was filled with Italians which was a good sign! Despite not speaking Italian, we felt well cared for and well treated. I would highly recommend this place which is within walking distance of St. Peter's.

9/10It’s less than a 5-min walk from St. Peter’s square so good place to dine in after visiting the Vatican. We booked thru Fork and we were seated immediately as soon as we arrived. We were given complimentary bruschetta and wine whole waiting. Staff was nice and accommodating. We had mushroom risotto and 4-cheese pizza. They were good but we had better meals in Rome. My risotto was a bit bland for me. Will still recommend if you’re in the area cos service is good and price is okay.

9.5/10Awesome aperitivo! We ordered a drink and got also plenty of food from very nice pizza to fresh and tasty oyster. I love the traditional look of this bar with all the wine bottles. Very local, non-touristic atmosphere despite the location just few steps from Vatican.

10/10A new favorite in Rome! This place was SO GOOD. Wonderful service, which started with a complimentary glass of wine and delicious tomato bruschetta. A very extensive menu and everything we ate was amazing, from appetizers to side dishes to pasta. Also obviously an extensive wine list. Great atmosphere and popular with locals as well as a few tourist groups. And well worth the price - especially with the discount given on The Fork.
