9.5/10I'm looking for food experiences all over the world, for a better understanding of cultures and to open my eyes to a new kitchen horizon. The chef spoke using his degustation menu about a small cityscape and easily made me feel the beauty of this small town and its rich of life river, words can't explain how beautiful experience I had. Service was also wonderful and even fun. PS: one of the best pigeons of my life, almost cried because remember about the one made by my grandma.

10/10We went to Xerta during a vacation to Barcelona. We wanted to experience the local cuisine and Xerta did not let us down. The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to enjoy a nice conversation while we tasted an explosion of flavors. Watching the chef work was like watching an opera itself. The passion and dedication he puts in every dish is second to none. I highly recommend this place next you are in Barcelona and if you are looking to immerse yourself in the Catalan culture, their degustation experience is a must

9.5/10The restaurant relied on the hotel bar for cocktails and the bars ended was not very experienced - could not make a Vodka Martini with a lemon twist. This is no fault of the restaurant but waiting for the martini which was made 3 times and he still got it wrong - was an irritation.

3/10Highlight: Service is terrible ! DON’T COME!!! 1. First time to do reservations through no one speak English. The manager turn off 3 times, they may have a lots guest to come due to it is Michelin. 2. When arrived in advance to say please manage whole dinner within 2 hours because not everyone have enough time to eat. Like we have jet lagged. Even inform in advance we should wait 4 hours to get food. 3. Last step to get a bill. Manager ask to pay in the bar. But go to the bar wait the manager to get a pos machine 10mins. 4. To the end: food is ok, service really terrible. The manager worry that to give a discount even no one ask it. Even not care what happened. 5. The terrible manager is Tony! Suggest: after talk with one lady who speak English. They say because get a lot guest can not give good service. But if it is Michelin maybe to manage the reservation and keep high service is also important.

8.5/10It is my couple's birthday and we went to there to celebrate the birthday. The foods are delicious and the environment is very nice. Waiters are friendly with their professional service.

10/10My wife and I were celebrating our FIRST wedding anniversary, and this was exactly what I had imagined. Not only the restaurant had great ambiance, but the food was just OUTSTANDING. Michelin Star well deserved for a truly mind blowing experience, truly one of the best amazing opportunities I’ve had in my life. I’m a foodie at heart and this place now has a place in it! 10/10 extremely recommended.

9/10The food and its creativity on serve dishes impressed me and I love they gave detailed intro of each dishes! Compared with other Michelin restaurants their staff u can tell they try their best to make u understand their concept n idea. I think they r one of the list of mine that really do match Michelin star so far. Appreciate????

9/10The full Delta course was amazing! Very entertaining, the staff were very personable, and the venue was pretty! Some of the courses were better than others. Would highly recommend the sea nettle, prawns, and balsamic tomatoes but not the pâté course.

2/10From a menu of 160€/person, we have to taste from thirteen types of food, but no one was good and more some sea fruit was really bitter, tastes like rotten fish, even the bread was not good. A friend threw up as soon as she got home. The worst eperience for a michelin restaurants

9/10It was a special treat dining here tonight. I was a little overwhelmed with how formal everything looked. However, the staff made me feel very welcome. They were so accommodating and made the dining experience wonderful. Just a few dishes missed the mark for me personally. But with a tasting menu that large it was understandable for one or two dishes tonight to miss my personal needs. My wife and I enjoyed every second we were there. We are so so so stuffed. Thanks so much!

10/10Our trip to Barcelona had been a long time coming, and we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner out. My friends and husband had never been to a Michelin star restaurant, and that was part of the appeal, naturally. The food was excellent! We each had the Homage tasting menu with wine pairing. While we all had our favorite dishes of course, there wasn’t a single bite that any of us truly didn’t like- even the oyster was good! Not the least bit fishy, and not overly briny either. The presentation was clearly well-thought, and the chef’s concept of touring Spain and Catalunya was wonderful! We had the unique opportunity to taste a lot of traditional ingredients, but with a special flair. I especially appreciated the use of spherification, which I know can be tricky. I loved that each bite was just enough, and by the end of the meal, we were all completely full. I’ve been to a few places with tasting menus that frankly, are not enough. That was not a problem here! What was actually the most wonderful thing about our visit was the experience overall. The somm was fabulous. It was so clear that she loves wine, and it was really fun to hear her talk about the wine, its origins, and what to expect from each glass. She was an absolute delight, and we all agreed that her choices were spot-on. Finally, and last but not least, the chef was extremely gracious and accommodated my husband’s dietary restrictions. The chef prepared some entirely different menu items for him, which was so kind, and the extra effort meant a lot to us. Not everyone would have gone to the extra trouble, and we genuinely appreciated the kindness. So to recap: 1) delicious food & wine 2) lovely ambience 3) excellent service I 100% recommend going! ????

7/10Xerta is a nice restaurant dedicated to Catalonian cuisine. However, I have been to Michelin-star restaurants from Singapore through the USA and Europe and this is the first time I felt disappointed. The beginning started with oysters and caviar and of course, you can't go wrong with that. Then most of the degustation menu was fish, which I was excited about! But 1 of the main meals was beans and another one was a stinky fish, which noone tasted - we all returned it. It smelled super salty and fishy and that smell kind of made all the food you just ate come back. I appreciate the amazing service and the environment but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, especially for that price.

10/10Excellent service with great quality of food! There was a nice welcome wine and appetizer from different regions of Spain. Food was a good portion size and served promptly. I got the 45 euros set lunch which was amazing value for the price. My best meal in Spain!

9.5/10Charming restaurant, quiet. Even though we sat next to the kitchen, they were really silent. I didn’t rate it a 10 because the waiters don’t speak Catalan, which is a strange thing given that the village Xerta, majority of people there speak Catalan (my grandpa is from there so I know). Food was delicious and the executive menu a super good deal.

9/10Our second visit to Xerta; this time to enjoy their Menu del Día. I had some Fork vouchers from work, and well timed for a small celebration. The menu - 3 snacks each to start, starter, main, desert, petit fours, bread, water & 2 glasses of wine. In short, a faultless fusion of The Ebre and more local ingredients, inspirations and execution. Wonderful staff (if not a little all over the place) but we were in no rush. We look forward to returning again soon, as this is THE best 1 Michelin star menus in Catalonia.

8.5/10Food is great. But the alternative options for vegetarian and non-alcohol drinker were a bit limited. Overall, it is a great experience to enjoy Catalonian local produce and enjoy the local cuisine.

8/10It has a Michelin star but the food is not quite up to that standard. They have original ideas about the way they serve the dishes, but the dishes are a bit disappointing. The starters were great, after that it went downhill. Not dramatically, but there are many other restaurants in Barcelona doing better and without Michelin star. We didn't have the feeling we payed too much so after all it wasn't a bad experience but an interesting one.

8.5/10Superb food, great presentation and very interesting. Service was the downside. We waited for wine service, often feeling like glasses were getting too empty. Guests should not be prompting service requests, especially not at a Michelin star labeled restaurant.

10/10Very quiet subdued ambiance, attentive service, tables spaced apart appropriately, everything was perfect for us to focus on the evening’s culinary experience. We decided on the Homage Tasting menu. Dishes were described & relationship to what inspired it’s creation presented succinctly. I am in love after last night with Catalan cooking.
