7.5/10Nice food and ambience however the service was ok as we had to wait 30 minutes before anyone took our order the restaurant wasn’t busy and there was staff standing around talking to one another rather than looking after the customer.

I made a reservation for this restaurant 2 months in advance for my husband’s birthday, based on reviews. It was in a great location. Right on the beachfront and the staff were friendly. The food serving sizes were large and delicious. The wine was lovely. We had a nice evening.

7/10The paella was ok but not marvelous, and the meat in the burger was clearly overcooked. The service was really relax but professionnal. Could taste the wine before having a full glass.

10/10We love the open kitchen and beach views. But we come for the paella. Excelente. Ceviche also a must try! Wonderful staff and many offered assistance. Multi language menus available.

10/10We enjoyed everything about it! The food, the workers, the location, it was just amazing! The most important thing to us was their knowledge and selection of gluten free foods. My husband has celiacs and he was thrilled and felt very comfortable with the experience.

gorgeous location and heard good reviews but food fell short by a lot and left disappointed. We had the ceviche and paella, ceviche lacked flavour and paella was incredibly salty where i could not continue eating. mojito was disgusting and just tasted like rum and water im so sorry, no mint at all and sugar would not dissolve and left sunk at the bottom. was really expecting more

Hands down, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Barcelona! The ambiance at Xiringuito Escribà is unmatched, right by the beach with a laid-back yet upscale vibe. Special thanks to our incredible server, Toki, who made the experience even more memorable. His expert navigation of the menu, thoughtful recommendations, and spot-on wine pairing elevated our evening. Every dish felt like a celebration of Mediterranean flavor. Highly recommend and will absolutely return!

The first bite of my scrambled baby squid was literally spoon fed to me (that happened). Waiter was super friendly and spoke enough English to help us out. The food was delicious and the view was great

2/10Food was very expensive for the quality of it. Paella was very salty and the price was per person, making it very expensive and not worth it. We paid 170€ for food that was not worth it! Service was not the best, they took about 15 mins to come to us and didn’t check on us once. When the receipt came, there was extra stuff that we didn’t get or order which they were able to take off because we noticed! On the way back to the hotel we also got robbed so not a good neighborhood or safe. Would not come back and would not recommend. Nothing about this was worth the trip.

It’s was the worst experience ever! We waited 2h for hour Paella and after all the the food was uneatable. The service arrogant and bad. I cannot reccomend this restaurant.

8/10Didn’t realize we have to wait pretty long for the paellas, about an hour since ordered for two paellas. Assuming they need time to cook. Then, finally they came. Less seafood than I expected. The rice was little raw. They could be cooked just a little longer, but ok because we waited long. Nevertheless, they were tasty but got cold really quick. Maybe we should order something else and one paella. At least we have food eating first instead of waiting and paella got cold quick :)

9.5/10Whenever I visit Barcelona with first time visitors going to Xiringuito Escriba is a must! I’ve tried several paellas, pan con tomat, bravas, and sangria and all have always been excellent!
