8/10Food is great here, we’ve been lots of times. Love the fedua in particular. They are huge though so I’d suggest ordering one portion for one person and some grilled fish and sharing both between two - more than enough! (And I eat a lot!) service was really hit and miss, some friendly staff members, others (including the woman who welcomed us at the door) quite cold with guests which does impact the experience

This restaurant overlooks the beach. Service was attentive and they spoke English. The food was average and the place was busy with tourists, not locals.

The waitstaff was courteous and treated us well, and we spent our last day in a pleasant mood. I was very satisfied with the delicious food for the price. The only thing that bothered me was that I pronounced the word "dessert" and they reworded it as "desert".

I visited to eat black rice. It was so nice. I also ate Shibuya rice which was recommended. Eat it wrapped in seaweed was first experience for me. I really enjoyed eating. The sake which made in Barcelona that came with Shibuya rice was also delicious.

Really an excellent lunch. I went with my wife, who had a delicious lobster paella. My fish fillet was delightful. The restaurant is on the beach and is very nice inside. The waiter was kind and spoke Italian perfectly.

8.5/10The food was good although the paella was burnt at the sides of the pan, so it tasted a bit bitter. We were seated next to the open kitchen and there was also a heater above our table so it was extremely hot at our table. However, when we asked the staff to shut off the heater, they kindly did so, and it was appreciated.

7/10Food is good, but it’s too much time waiting. Service is very disorganized. At the beginning, no one took us the menus, and, when we finally ordered, waiters forgot it. At the end we waited for almost two hours to have our paella. They tried to fix this issue offering us drinks and an appetizer, and of course this was very kind of them, but still we had our dinner at almost 11pm.

10/10We’ve been coming to Xiringuito Escribà since we moved to Barcelona five years ago, and it never disappoints. The arroz negro is our absolute favorite—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service is always excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who make every visit special. Add to that its unbeatable seaside location on Bogatell Beach, and you have the perfect spot for an unforgettable meal. It’s a place we’ll keep returning to for years. Highly recommended!

Party of 7 with some skittish eaters. They enjoyed the wagyu burgers and guacamole while the rest of us really enjoyed the mixed seafood app, the tuna tartar and two different paellas. All service personnel were superb. Love the location by the beach for an extended afternoon lunch with a view.

Paellas (1 x lobster and 1 x mushrooms) were good, but nothing special. There are better paellas for less. The service and ambiance were very nice. Overall a good experience.

+1It's a famous restaurant in Japan, and I felt at ease knowing that the Japanese staff member Kurokawa-san was there. Kurokawa-san gave us detailed explanations of the dishes and gave us recommendations. The other staff members were also friendly and helpful. I felt that the food was a little too salty for my taste, but I think it would go well with alcohol. There was a fireplace inside the restaurant, and the atmosphere was nice. It's a restaurant I'd like to visit again!

6.5/10This restaurant was recommended to us for a great ocean view. The paella was good but not any better (or worse) than other restaurants. Our server was friendly and spoke good English.
