Food was mediocre in the absolute sense, overpriced in the relative sense. Service was cold and distant. Speed was slow initially. Lots of bugs.

The food, service and atmosphere all were top notch at Zash. Each dish was delicious and different from the last. The portions were larger than expected and we left very full. The street food was a fun and great way to start the meal, as we did the classic tasting menu. We were not staying at the hotel and the restaurant ended up getting us a ride home which was incredible given the hour. Everything was incredible and I highly recommended Zash.

Fabulous dinner! Very creative chef , staff were excellent. The only issue we had was finding it. The gate to the property looked locked , unlit. We had to drive around twice. The intercom wasn’t obvious especially as it’s a narrow country road with impatient drivers behind us.

During our trip to Sicily, we dined at a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in a beautifully preserved former wine fermentation facility. The historic charm was captivating—stone walls stained by past vintages, an antique wine press, and an ambiance blending past and present. The sommelier gave us a fascinating tour, sharing its winemaking history. We chose the five-course tasting menu, a feast for the eyes and palate, with perfectly executed local flavors. The wine pairing, featuring small-production Sicilian wines, complemented each dish beautifully. Amuse-bouches, pre-desserts, and house-made bread added to the experience. Though secluded with narrow roads, it was worth the journey. We parked in a lovely orchard beside a massive tree. If you’re in Taormina and visiting Agrigento or Syracuse, this is the perfect dinner stop on your way back. More than just a meal, it’s an unforgettable blend of history, craftsmanship, and flavor.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Service was great at the start but started lacking a bit in attentiveness while the meal progressed. We had the tasting menu for 180€ pP with 8 courses. The food was good, some dishes were decent, some excellent and some, like the Tonno alla brace in due versioni were simply exceptional. So all in all a good experience.

The venue itself is stunning being a cellar where wine was produced (not stored!) and they have created amazing dining room which leaves all the original character on full display. A great venue demands great food and Zash did not disappoint, right from the amuse bouche through to the petit fours at the end, it was a modern take on classic Sicilian cuisine. The the wines were a perfect match for the wonderful food.

I have an egg and chicken allergy and booked the restaurant weeks in advance and let them know of my dietary restrictions. We chose a 5 course tasting menu where the kitchen could choose which dishes to serve us. There were a few additional dishes that came alongside including 3 different types of bread (which was delicious). The quality of the food was lovely but it is predominantly fish. Indeed we had no meat what so ever in any of the dishes. The reason for my low score was indeed this point, lack of variety, so no meat served despite being told the 5 courses would be a mix, portions size was small and you were expected to fill up on bread and unforturnately after looking closely at each dish and questioning the waiters/kitchen staff 3 dishes were sent back as they contained egg! This meant I felt very on edge the whole meal and could not relax, it also caused a huge delay and we were became stressed due to a taxi having to wait additional time for us to finish the meal.

Good food in a nice ambient. One minus - i booked specifically with a note that this is a special occasion, the birthday of my husband. We didn’t expect anything, really, but the staff didn’t even say anything about it at all

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The setting is idyllic. A beautiful country house set amongst lemon and lime groves with a view of the sea in the distance with subtle and romantic lighting. The menu is unique and approachable with all tastes catered for. We opted for the a la carte because my husband and I have very different tastes and requirements. Regardless of which menu you opt for, you start with canapés and a selection of home made bread. All delicious. Our starters and main courses were also delicious and beautifully served and presented. Dessert is preceeded by a small pre dessert and then finally exquisite petit fours. Add in delicious local wines and excellent, knowledgeable service and the whole evening is an experience, one not to be missed if you are in the area.

We enjoyed our meal at Zash - beautiful location. There were some stand outs but many dishes were good (not great) and service started great then became downright ignoring. We had wine pairing which was more a wine tasting as most didn’t pair well with the food.

The place is epic, among the orange farming, inside an old press factory, with the couple of rooms to spend the night that combines the rustic and modern. The food are very sophisticated without losing touch with the local and traditional tastes

Fabulous service; and fabulous ambiance. The food is immaculate….perfection from appearance and presentation to taste. The flavors of every course were delicate and gratifying. In the end, it’s not just the food. It’s the entire experience. Loved it!!

Good food throughout, but not great. Service was exceptionally slow. Long waits between courses that became longer as the dinner progressed to the end.

I went back after an amazing dinner 2 years ago. I was a bit disappointed because of the "noisy" dishes: too many sauces to actually cover the taste of the main ingredients. I was disappointed
