Juan made our meal and experience so memorable. The Romanesco (sp?) salad, beef tartar, and pork snout were our favorites, but really everything we tried was so artfully done and delicious. Juan took the time to explain all of the dishes and even recommended a wonderful wine to go with our meal. If you are in Barcelona, don't miss this gem of a culinary experience!

Had an excellent experience at Zaytun as a solo diner. I was received with kindness from start to end. Juan is very passionate about his food and every course I had was delicious. Not pretentious, great value for money and filling food! Highly recommend, wish I could come back again soon.

Service is excellent. The staff explained the dishes so detailed that you can feel their passion in designing the dishes and cooking. Food is very delicious. We had a memorable night!

What makes Zaytun so special is that there is no forced fanciness, nothing over the top, no in-your-face boasting of what a great place this is.. because the truth is this really is a classy and elegant place to dine. But you don’t know HOW good it is till you experience the food, service and ambience. It far surpassed my expectations in that I was expecting just a regular quiet dinner, but got a fine dining experience instead. The dishes had masterful flavour combinations with fabulous presentation and the service from our very knowledgeable attendant was excellent. It appears to be a cosy family-run establishment with limited seating that allows for a personal touch of sophistication and attention to detail. The quality of the food for the price and the level of service are outstanding. My favourites were the Kimchi coleslaw brioche, Croquetas, Bomba de Barceloneta and coronel lima. So happy to have stumbled upon this gem, we will definitely go back :-)

+6Food was excellent, great combinations of flavour and use of local ingredients. The chef was very helpful and went the extra mile modifying a couple of his dishes to make them gluten free for one of our party. This was one of those rare meals where all four of us agreed we were enjoying exceptional food and where we were all really looking forward to the next creation coming out of the kitchen: starters, mains and desserts included. Thank you for a memorable meal. Very reasonable price considering the exceptional fusion of flavours and presentation.

We went out of our way to visit because of the great reviews. I’m so glad we did, this was my favorite dining experience in Barcelona! The chef was charming and passionate about his dishes, and told us a little about each one without hindering our meal. We chose many plates to share, each excellent. The avocado, potatoes, lamb, and Iberian pork dishes were our top ones. They were all amazing dishes, elevated without being fussy, beautifully presented, and garnished with a lovely, grassy olive oil. The red wines were both very well balanced to our meal. We couldn’t say no to the desserts. Cheesecake that was creamy and delicate, and a fried milk with delectable passion fruit sorbet. I could fly back just for that sorbet. I could smell the citrus from the center of the table. We would eat here regularly if we lived here.

We recently had an exceptional dining experience at a hidden gem restaurant in Barcelona. The food was outstanding, and after complimenting the chef, I discovered he had trained with both a three-star and a one-star Michelin chef over the past two years. Although this restaurant is only four months old, I’m confident Chef Juan will become one of the most successful chefs in Barcelona, if not globally. The appetizers were delightful, and the main courses exceeded expectations. The chef went above and beyond, customizing dishes by removing ham, pork, and seafood to accommodate my wife’s dietary needs, which we greatly appreciated. For the quality of the dishes, the value is simply unbelievable. We enjoyed about nine dishes, along with two bottles of water, and the total bill came to just 68 euros. We were incredibly impressed with Chef Juan’s technique, his ability to create remarkable local dishes using fresh, local ingredients, and his dedication to providing an unforgettable dining ex
