10/10It was always a lovely restaurant but I think they recently improved the lighting. One thing that I didn't appreciate is the new charge for sauces. I've not encountered that in a hotpot restaurant before.

9.5/10LOVED! I was missing hotpot after a trip to China and this totally hit the spot, you get so much for the price of the hot pot menu (49CHF), the meats, seafood and vegetables to put in your hotpot are varied and fresh, and the sauce bar had lots of options. Would return in a heartbeat! The ladies doing the service were really friendly and the setting of the restaurant was really nicely decorated. I would only add a little bit of music to create more of an atmosphere but apart from that, it was a 10/10!

3.5/10Experience at the restaurant was unpleasant when the service providers were not too friendly and giving a lot of negative feelings. They want to charge for almost everything. The worst is if you want to open your own wine or other alcoholic drinks. It’s from €50. Worst service we had in Geneva.

10/10I come to Zhou Yu all the time for business lunch or dinner. The food is great. The service is excellent. I sometimes come with my friends for hot pot. They are really lovely here. I always recommend the restaurant to my friends.

2/10Terrible service. The waitresses were rolling their eyes at us. I really don’t like their rudeness. When my girlfriend asked for a toothpick, one of the waitress was very impatient. They don’t allow people to bring their own water. That’s actually against the law. Moreover, when I tried to put my water in my bag. Another waitress came towards me and reminded me to put the water away despite the owner has just told me so. In terms of the food, I never expected that rubbish was what I paid 108 Fr for. The amount was little, the meat slices were cut unevenly, and the seafood was not fresh. In one sentence: don’t go.

9.5/10I always enjoy going here, reminds me of when I lived in Chongqing, a China. Some options are a bit different , the 酥肉 for example doesn’t have the numbing pepper in the batter and is prepared a bit differently. The hottest option could actually be much spicier with more peppers in it, but I’m sure it’s toned down for the Geneva pallet. Closest food I’ve found to authentic Sichuan hotpot in Geneva.

7.5/10We ordered the set hot pot menu. We would have liked to have ordered hot pot a la carte but they either don't have this option or insisted we ordered the set menu. The food itself was good.

8/10The food portions was decent for three ladies, the only gripe I had was that the soup base was abit too salty. The service was actually prompt and attentive, contrary to a lot of the negative reviews on Google. The price of their drinks was a whopping 10CHF for Chinese tea which was too expensive, we opted for plain water, it’s 2CHF Per person and ok it’s reasonable.

5/10The restaurant knew we were English and didn't provide the fruits de mer (seafood) with our meal. It was annoying but we couldn't face arguing There was little instruction on how long to cook everything

10/10Staff very attentive, food was simply delicious! We had decided to skip the hot pot for the night and chose some dishes instead, to remember our time living in China. The aubergine was beyond great, the grilled dumplings and the fish in spicy broth were delicious. From beginning to end, a wonderful dinner….we’ll be back for huoguo soon.

6/10The pekin duck in the menu was really good but any extra crepe cost us 1.5chf more each, that’s ridiculous considering the fact that it’s a 50chf menu. No red bean ice cream as mentioned in the menu…Couldn’t pay by credit card at the end… Disappointed.

9.5/10Always enjoy this place. I lived in Chongqing (Sichuan province), China for two years. Used to eat hot pot 3x a week. This place comes pretty close to that experience. They keep it clean. And are able to speak several languages which really helps.

6.5/10I used to really enjoy this place, however the service was terrible compared to previously, we were charged 3chf for soya sauce? She tried to insist my friend took it despite us repeatedly saying we didnt. We were also only suggested the "combo" option for the Hot Pot when asking for the menu and upon us insisting she brought us the sheet with the individual hot pot orders... a shame they tried to fool us and treat us as if we are stupid. We will not be back again.

3/10Grosse Deception! I rarely do not recommend a restaurant, but I will this time. Wanted this restaurant since a long time and booked on fourchette. Started badly when they said that the fondue was not included in the fourchette so we had to pay, we sais ok (even if not written anywhere)! Also the service was not really friendly and did not speak french nor english… The most important point was the food which was disappointing as hell, frozen meet that had no taste and had been bought in a cheap shop! Please avoid this place!

8.5/10The restaurant was easy to locate but parking is a problem on a busy weekend. The food is awesome and i have been going there weekly. Please remember to book in advance as tables are taken up fast! Must try the various sauces!!!
