We enjoyed the pasta dishes — cacio e pepe and gricia. The pasta was housemade, and cooked perfectly al denta. The secondi dishes (octopus, shrimp, seabass) tasted well too; however, I felt that the prices were on the higher side compared to other nearby restaurants. Regardless, I would recommend Zia Rilla to anyone looking for a local dinner place with great food and service.

The service was kind, warm, friendly and truly attentive. We made a request for a table for 5 where we could have a quiet conversation, and they set up a nice corner table for us. The recommendations for the food and wine, for our group's diverse palates, were perfect. Among other dishes we had the flavourful handmade stuffed olives, crispy-on-the-outside yet juicy-on-the-inside deep fried artichoke petals, a rich handmade ravioli with sage and butter sauce, and absolutely exquisite handmade tonarelli vongole with a generous portion of fresh baby clams. The seafood mains definitely did not disappoint, either. The tiramisu and the key lime pie with a selection of digestifs was a perfect end to our delectable dinner! Oh, and all at extremely reasonable prices, too!

Beautiful restaurant that felt truly authentic. The people working there were amazing and the service was phenomenal. Stefano is such a nice host and even brought out some homemade drinks for people to try, free of charge. We even went by the day before but they were fully booked, he immediately recommended a few other restaurants which no one else had done before. 10/10 service. I would recommend to book a table in advance due to a lot of customers and not a lot of seating. Easy to do online or by telephone.

Felt like we were being hosted by an Italian family. Staff was outstanding and attentive. All of the other guests send to be regular locals and friends from the neighborhood It was the best we’ve had in Italy. Zia Rilla is a gem!

The service and food here was fantastic some of if not the best in Rome. We had a fantastic experience the server was great and you could tell everything was homemade with love and care. Would HIGHLY recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant on a quiet street in the San Pietro area. We dined early and enjoyed the attention of the owner and waitstaff as much as the delicious food shared by the four of us- perfectly dressed green salad, two delicious appetizers, fabulous spaghetti carbonara and porcini stuffed ravioli. We made a reservation to eat here again during our stay in Rome.

Little restaurant close to Vatican which is a hidden gem. Very good food prepared with care and the best ingredients to make it special. Very recommendable.

Superb cooking, excellent and friendly service, unique dishes, perfect portion sizes. A true delight, so make sure to make reservations as the space is somewhat small/cozy.

Family run botique pasta restaurant with cool decorations. The husband and wife owners were very welcoming and explained everything on their menu to us in detail in English. We had the fried mozerella and anchovies sandwich, cabonara and ravioli with mozerella. Would definitely visit again!
