My grass-fed steak was delicious BUT, as a vegetable lover, I was disappointed that the carrot purée and grilled asparagus listed on the menu (with the steak) turned out to be more like a garnish: just a small smear of purée and two very thin little pieces of asparagus. I was jealous of the generous serving of carrots that my husband received with his beef dish. Also, I wish that we had opted to sit inside, despite the lovely weather. The inside has lovely padded chairs with backs, whereas the outside has only wooden stools. We will be back, but we’ll sit inside and I will order more carefully next time! Very tasty food and good service!

Loved everything about this beautiful little restaurant! Very friendly and professional staff, delicious food - meats are sumptuous. We were very happy to have discovered this place during our short holiday in Tavira. I highly recommend it.

All the food was absolutely delicious - the octopus and calamari were my highlights but really enjoyed it all. All waiters were also fantastic. Thank you for a lovely evening!

10/10We ate a Zurrata twice! Our server was so friendly and the food was delicious. Have the picanha, the egg with asparagus & sausage, and of course - the octopus. the outdoor patio is a treat to sit on and enjoy a light breeze. We will make sure to come back next time we are in Portugal.

9.5/10The waiter was very knowledgeable and kind. We sampled various tapas as starters, all very unique and enjoyable. The octopus was excellent, as was the beef steak. The desserts were great. The wine was more than okey. The setting was quiet and charming, in the heart of Santa Luzia. Overall, a highly recommendable experience.

6/10Disappointing We ordered covert Zurrata and didn't get it We then 4 people ordered Bife Vazia 3 were cooked correctly but one I asked for medium and it was rare .I sent it back to be cooked a little more but came back very slightly cooked Served with chips with a pot of garlic sauce which was nice but it would have been nice to have a side salad We then asked for 2 espressos and a galão and got 3 expressos and got charged for 4 Desert was nice . My advice is sort your staff out you are loosing money Would give it another chance Wishing you all the best Kind regards Catarina

9.5/10The waiters were very friendly and helpful, the ambience was nice and cosy, and the food was amazing. We had the beef tongue tacos and the cod tacos they were perfect. The fried squid was also good. As mains we tried the hamburger and the steak, the meat is perfectly done and juicy. Loved this place and highly recommend it.

10/10This is a lovely little, recently opened restaurant near the village church. It is super cosy inside in the winter and has loads of space outside for when the weather is warmer. The food is very good with clever twists that make the dished interesting and moreish. The staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome, nothing is to much trouble for them.

10/10We had a small Christmas/birthday get together there last night. I have to say everything was perfect. The brother are very plesant and speak English fluently. The food was very good. 2 of us had the steak and 2 had the owen baked bacalau and 1 had a dish with free flow food, fries, meet and veggies. So if you have somebody that is super hungry, then this is it. The wine was super good and priced decently, 16 Euro. We had a small “private “ room. Perfect size for us 6, I would love to see the cactus leaves on the wall again.🙏And don’t forget the tee lights, so cozy. Thank you we will be back soon again.

10/10I had the incredible experience of dining at Zurrata in Santa Luzia last night! From the start, we were warmly greeted by Gonçalo, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. I also highlight the remarkable talent of Chef Bernardo, who, at his impressive 19 years, demonstrated incredible skill in the kitchen. The starters, including the irresistible Zurrata couvert and the tuna picapau, were true flavor explosions that left us eager for what was to come. The restaurant's ambiance is simply charming, providing a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complemented the delicious meal. The service was impeccable, with an attentive staff that made us feel truly well taken care of. The main courses were truly exceptional. The Vazia Steak was perfectly prepared, juicy, and full of flavor. The baked cod melted in the mouth, and the octopus xarem was a burst of marine flavors. In summary, Zurrata not only met but exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique gastronomic experience with a dedicated and talented team. I can't wait to return and explore more of the incredible menu of this remarkable place!
